Thank you for sharing the tips on your issues. We love it when our community forum members offer insight and solutions.
If you wouldn’t mind taking a sec and adding a ( stellar ) review on the WP plugin (base) about the support and/or the base plugin we would very much appreciate it. If you do not feel we deserve a stellar review please send an email to support@storelocatorplus.com and let us know how we can improve.
CiciKeymasterCool. Thanks for letting us know
CiciKeymasterDerek
I cannot help you with just that screenshot what info the support team needs is what is requested in Posting guidelines
CiciKeymasterIts still an issue with your theme and now more precisely the CSS that was written. There should be a child theme tin there that needs to be fixed, the window is resizing with no bars hold . This is not an issue with SLP, you can try to choose a different SLP plugin style to complement your theme but I cant do much about the responsive design and what they have done in this normal support forum. If you need an overhaul of your WP site and theme I would suggest CyberSprocket labs
See the elements when you scroll expand etc,
CiciKeymaster@ Adrienne please do not glom onto other peoples post. READ posting guidelines
You do not have the same issue , and you need to provide your Plugin environment.
Your screen shot says it all. you have included Google Map API too many times,,,,,you have…as in you have more than one plugin or theme or whatever that also is using the Google Map API. You cannot do that with us, either that or turn off out map. I was troubleshooting for Quinola. This is not part of our support normally., if you have a poorly written theme or cannot troubleshoot using the troubleshooting guide and provide the debugging log we cannot help you.
Read troubleshooting and please start your own post after reading the posting guidleines

CiciKeymasterYour screen shots didn’t load you need to reduce the file size.
See Trouble shooting section…sounds like you have a PHP that is too old a version…
CiciKeymasterHow to limit searches and get more accurate results , 1) I would change Map domain to Australia
but Google is fooling around with the map algorithms again as they keep trying to outsmart the third party API and force businesses to favor Google ADS.
But we do have some tools to work around it.
1) You can use the append feature (Part of Experience addon) that should help a bit , and 2) add instructions in label for the user to be more specific in the search form label
3) have discrete search filters on.

December 22, 2016 at 7:43 PM in reply to: "Distance" Not Working Properly When Centered in Certain States. #44487CiciKeymasterWell isnt that special..drat I was hoping it was your location sensor
As far as LT/LON..SLP does not set the longitude nor latitude…your query goes direct to Google, but this does bring up an interesting theory that Lance and I were discussing at lunch. I wonder if it has to do with the Google new algorithm for addresses that he wrote a post about.
Back to your specific question, using Denver as an example. I went back and checked and Google set DENVER CO lat as -104.990251 just like you said. So I then went to the commercial Google MAPS using Chrome….and just typed in basic search as Denver CO (no address) and this is what I got back:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Denver,+CO/@39.7645183,-104.9955385,11z
So that matches what I have in the back end of SLP….(Are you putting in a more specific address?)
Then Iwent back into the browser and searched Google using the Lat / but different Long that you suggested. I searched for 39.7392358, -105.1352965 and what came back on Google Maps is a specific address , zoom in and it is for Golden Hill cemetery ,,,, are they kidding ?? Cause it doesn’t look like the center of Denver CO when you zoom out again, it is west of it.
With my example I had added a TGIF , so on front end when I search by zip code the distance is coming up right as being 1.1 miles from center of Denver CO
There is an issue somewhere though when I go back and forth I am having a problem with my map zoom when I have disable initial directory set. I need to test some more but I don’t think I will have time until after the holidays since I have family coming in tomorrow.
Ill have to talk to Lance about it and make a note to have him look at this post. If it is relevant to what you guys are testing on the beta with him mention it.
P.S. Lance’s post after a customer and I found the misinformation coming back from Google recently:

CiciKeymasterthx, good luck
December 21, 2016 at 6:19 PM in reply to: "Distance" Not Working Properly When Centered in Certain States. #44466CiciKeymasterHi Shad,
Are you referring to the back end or the front end? Did you take location sensor off, so that it doesn’t see where you are when you are testing? (assuming you have https and browsing using Chrome) I am guessing maybe you have Location sensor turned on?
I am trying to re create your issue and am not getting the problem with Colorado or any other sgtate after re centering map at…
I changed my center map at to Denver Co, added a location TGIF in Denver and the address, distance in the back end (initial distance) under Locations is showing 0.0 miles. As Lance designed it to do back a couple of versions ago. I’ve changed my map back and forth in the back end, to be Denver Co,,,then Charleston SC.
I Checked under General settings….. off for location sensor, did search again on my regular map page and the distances in the front end are coming back exactly right no matter what I am doing, each time I switch out and re set and clear it comes back with correct distances. If I check the location sensor on then my distances are coming back from Mount Pleasant no matter what my fallback center map at is set to.
so: my questions..
1) Do you have Location Sensor off or on?
2) Do you have hide distance off or on?
Are your results order by closest farthest?
I am behind in testing Lances updates, that time of year… but he is testing Premier 4.7.1 but I dont think that is what you are talking about …(?)

CiciKeymasterPlease read posting guidelines and provide the requested information
Plugin environment, url versions etc. screenshot is best
. I cannot see your site page, and that error message is usually associated with something else. like a link to the error which will show the javascript it is referring to. it could be another plugin I cant tell by that ubiquitous quote
December 21, 2016 at 10:33 AM in reply to: "Distance" Not Working Properly When Centered in Certain States. #44460CiciKeymasterSHad is your center map at a shortcode on the site url page or the back end setting under Experience map? If back end setting, you need to clear out, back space over the callback lat/long, that does not automatically change. try that, sve canges and let me know if it works
December 21, 2016 at 10:31 AM in reply to: "Distance" Not Working Properly When Centered in Certain States. #44459CiciKeymasterOh, did y0u clear out the callback lat long when you reset the center nmap at in the MAP UI???
December 21, 2016 at 10:30 AM in reply to: "Distance" Not Working Properly When Centered in Certain States. #44458CiciKeymasterLance is working on Premier 4.7.1 As we discovered recently Google is messing around with algorithms, not returning valid addresses, and throwing their advertised locations on the maps n to boot. Dont know if its related but it probably is.
CiciKeymasterP.S. You mentioned you gave User access, perhaps they inadvertently set the display locations to a crazy number that your server or configuration could not handle. Once you reset it, you may want to provide instructions about using the plugin since you have experience in using it.
we have had large companies using SLP and they have the resources available and dedicated servers, and needed to have the ability to display many locations per page in the back end user interface. I believe between Lance and I we have been very responsive in the forum answering your questions. (occasionally we do eat and sleep.). If you have any further issues that you feel were not answered in less than 48 hours, please send an email to support letting us know you are a premier customer and posted in premier forums. There are occasions when I may not be available (see posting guidelines,) and Lance is in development mode or we are in a different time zone than you and not on 24/7
Please follow the posting guidelines, provide screenshots of your plugin enviromnent, the site url page, a screen shot is best because it also provide PHP info, WP versions as well as which add-ons you have turned on.
CiciKeymasterRaoid release
Please , do not Glom onto others posts , most people do not have the same plugins, versions, configuration and other details that support needs to analyze the issues. You have not provided your plugin environment. Plus the other persons post was from October and all he was asking for was where to find new settings
Please refer to the Posting guidelines before posting and provide the info.
We are closing this forum since you have since started a new post that unveils your issues.
CiciKeymasterThere is a reset button under General that will reset the locations manager page to display 10 locations, this was previously a setting under the Janitor add-on. You should be able to do it either way.
CiciKeymasterHi Barbara , Thanks for letting me know. If you have a sec, and could leave a positive rating in WordPress it would help me keep my little bitty job for 2017. If you do not think I have been responsive in accordance with the Posting guidelines or cannot leave a five star rating, please contact us at support and my boss will give me coal in my socking, but at least I might still get to keep my job.
🙂
See links from front page …
If you like Store Locator Plus please leave a ★★★★★ rating on WordPress.org. A huge thank you from Lance and his fellow code geeks!
CiciKeymasterAs we suspected Google has launched new versions, new algorithms that steer people to THEIR Google ad locations.
The developer has been testing all versions of SLP and will be working to see what might be available as a work around (once again, this is trying to keep one step ahead)
For now best advice is to require a more discrete search function in your search form instructions. Narrow down the radius behavior and see if that works. In your incidence I would add as much minute detail to each address as possible. I have found that Google even had the wrong lat/long for the Sydney opera house and had to look it up using a different (not Google) service and then manually enter the correct lat/long. I wrote a post on it earlier in the past year.
We tested the premise that Google changed their algorithms once again. A business that always came up before as featured, i.e. Diane, Charleston Financial Advisors, 4 Atlantic Wharf Charleston SC 29401 NO LONGER GEOCODES (google says bad address / no results) It *does* still encode from their google maps app( Their “proprietary” map .)
If you use the EXACT RIGHT ADDRESSS including names in this case:
Diane c/o Charleston Financial Advisors, 4 Atlantic Wharf Charleston SC 29401 = good geocode from Google.
there are more than one business in that building so apparently Google is taking on the role of the post office….
Within the past week Google turned off the part of their algorithm that “infers: address guesses by proximity that was there before and allowed even if your address was not 100% correct. This applies FOR THIRD PARTY APIS ONLY. i.e. the ones that they let developers use. Does not matter if you have a paid/premium API key, business licensed API or not.
I am sure they will say it has something to do with security like they did when allowing location sesnors…new Chrome only allows it for https urls.
When the work around tool is revamped there will be a release to Premier. Currently Premier options have “Google influenced guesses. ” that may need to be revamped
CiciKeymasterThe developer has checked and your issue is from your configuration, not the SLP server. Please have your tech support or IT team look into your network configuration
CiciKeymasterThe developer is checking out the server as well. The production versions are showing up as the old versions and not the new versions. Not sure if its related to your issue
CiciKeymasterAs shown in your screen shot it appears you have an issue with WP user name , perhaps you updated WP recently? By the way, we request screenshots and information that can help us help you faster, see Posting guidelines, we need Plugin environment, which shows versions, WP version, etc . Are you using WP multi site? NAM ?
CiciKeymasterHi Barbra,
I added it back in, there was a change to subscription orders with Woo Commerce. Check now, you should be able to download it again

December 16, 2016 at 4:15 PM in reply to: Map not displaying when using Safari or Firefox on a Mac #44397CiciKeymasterYou gave some great clues as to what might be going on but the simple issue is you have conflicts and you have issues with Chrome because of the lack of SSL cert. Google is getting pretty strict about that stuff and you have NON SLP related errors on your page.
Here is a hint: one of your errors states “sensor is not required”. Well that indicates you are using another plugin or theme that is also using Google Map API and it is interfering with SLP. SLP has not had that error produced (many versions ago). Also another failure is a great hint states” you have included google map api multiple times” …so you have another plugin and/ or your theme that is also using Google MAP API query : a BIG no no:
Check out your site url
Right Click/select INSPECT/console *( see troubleshooting for more info and also the section on debugging with WP if you do not know what other plugin may be causing issues) I think it is your theme or perhaps you have not included all of what you are using or not using for SLP add-ons?
see the referencing
http://google-maps-utility-library-v3.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/infobubble/src/infobubble-compiled.js
Also check out your directory path for all your icons move the icons to your WP media directory and link the path to that to be sure they are always handy and linking to correct file path, SLP discontinued including some old icons in their directory).
