This is what we have indicated as a normal response time for forums, anything that is absolutely urgent to be answered immediately within seconds or hours goes through a paid support option.

We answer questions in the order they appear. By “bumping” your question again today, it  looks like you posted it for the FIRST time today.

I have gone through questions in email, paid support, premier subscribers forum first,  and  answered other people who had posted their questions two days ago or three days ago before I even got to those who posted questions yesterday FIRST.  By “bumping” your post you delay any time to answer you. I hope you understand that all our customers are important to us.

Your issue has to do with your CSV uploads. That  has NOTHING to do with Enhanced results (which is a legacy add-on). The message that states your enhanced results is not running as efficiently is  to let you know that your version is an old legacy version. Although we still allow people to buy it, it will NOT be updated or maintained other than major bug fixes.  The Experience add-on replaces Enhanced results, Enhanced Map, Enhanced Search, and Widgets. Since you have bought three of those four add-ons you would be entitled to a coupon discount towards the Experience Add-on.  READ CUSTOMER APPRECIATION under the Experience Add-on . This newer add-on is intended to run on WP 4.5 and SLP 4.5 and above and is more efficient because it takes less overhead.  It is urged that you update to the new Experience add-on while you can still get a discount. Eventually the old legacy packs will not work with future versions of SLP and the only way you will then get them to work would be to downgrade to an old SLP.

Having said all that…Importing a csv file is PROPACK.  I cannot tell you what you issue is but I am guessing that your csv file is not in the correct format or your file path to upload is not where it is supposed to be, or your configuration has an issue.   You need to use proper field names, headers columns and CSV file format.

Since you also have Pages, Directory Builder, Contact Extender and ProPack you would also qualify for a coupon  for a substantial discount to the POWER add-on which replaces all those older add-ons.

Your best value would be to purchase the Premier Subscription to ensure you get all the features and functionality and updates, not to mention access to the Premier forum (they are answered first). That is totally up to you.  As mentioned since you show that you have so many add-ons purchased within the last year  it would  be discounted for the set up fee. This promotion is good for the summer 2016. Please send an email to support requesting any of the coupons if you are interested in any of the options to update.    I believe you will be happy you did.

I downloaded your File. I “”fixed it” to be in the right format. I changed the EDM field name to one I have. It imported perfectly.

 

The issues you are having I believe has to do with your csv file. You had  a backslash / in front of the url…that will not import correctly as it will be read  special character, you had a / in front of your registration

you do not need sl_registration, just the word registration, also you normally would not usea hyphen in a  slug  but separate  rather with an underscore.   I do not know if that matters. But I have attached  the cleaned up version that I imported into my site with the extended data field slug I have added, i.e test

It does?  Ok that is cool, I was trying to add it in my results to test it but i had the span class backwards….so I am glad you were better at  adding it successfully.

I will try to copy that over to our new docs site. It is difficult to work between the two and not all of the documents have been transferred, updated etc.

That doesn’t work that way. You can use WPML for translation but it will translate the word “miles” to whatever the word for Miles is in the translation, it wont convert distance from and to metric, that is a mathematical formula, not text.  We used to have something called MultiMap but the logistics got so tangled that it needed a lot more work and very few people bought it.

It works the same way Google Maps does, it will not show you how many km away unless you toggle the google map from km to miles.  i,e, try it, search from Commercial Google MAPS , for instance I searched for Rome, it came back with miles. If I click on the bottom right hand corner it will convert, toggle to miles or KM.

I’m trying to remember how I did it when I played around with it , I thought I had to have the shorctode slp_location.  This is what I see for the documentation and the short codes under results: …

Replace <slug> with the field slug as shown under the Extended Data Manager interface.  You will find the slugs under the General tab , Extended Data Manager sub-tab.

For example, if I add a field named “Has Donuts” to my location data, EDM will default to using the slug “has_donuts”.    The shortcode [slp_location data.has_donuts] will output whatever is stored in that field.   If you use a boolean data type the value will be 1 or 0 will be output.

As far as that one particular site, was it imported in a bulk CSV file?

Check to make sure the address is correctly added, and if Google cant geocode it and you can find the lat/long then put it in manually (option not the best but it does happen).  You may want to try t the PO box on the second line or eliminating it and adding it afterwards if you absolutely need to have it.  Google will have difficulty geocoding a location of a PO Box, but again I am not sure if that is your issue or if it is bad data in your CSV file  or your server.

If you need someone to login on your site that is a paid support option, the developer has another paid support customer he is helping at the moment, so having some sort of paid support will get you on his schedule.  If you just want or need someone to review your CSV file you can opt for email biz support.

I do not know what you have for Add-ons so I cannot answer your question without your  Plugin Environment? You need to have an add-on for  the function of hide search form for instance…i.e. what do you have for add-ons , i.e Enhanced Search (Legacy), enhanced Map? Experience Add-on?

Thanks, I thought the errors might be FB related but wasnt sure, but it was the EXP add-on that you needed to install, and now you have updated SLP. As far as your other questions about Extended data Manager. Now that you have updated is this still a question? I know that Lance and DeBaat were working on some things there.  but can you please post the Extended Data Manager question in DeBaats third party forum as well?

Let us know, as mentioned we can provide you a coupon towards the purchase of the Experience add-on (That replaces the Enhanced add-ons and also provides you with the new Widgets add on)  and the recent Power add-on release which includes the ProPack, Tagalong, Pages, and Directory builder.  It would be a shame for you to start over from scratch. Please let us know (via support email) what some of your concerns are about  Store Locator Plus  and or the add-ons

1) Map Markers can be set on a per location basis amd changed individually under the Manage Locations Tab

2) That could be one way to go, or you could use ranking, featured if you want them to appear first in the  results, or to ALWAYS appear no matter what zip code or address is being searched etc. It is “order results by” and is a feature with the Experience Add -on (or if that is all you want you can try the Legacy Enhanced Results)

3) you can look at your Installed Plugins amd see Store Locator Plus and any add-ons

or  If you have SLP installed expand StoreLocator Plus menu bar on the side panel and go to INFO tab /Plugin Environment

Your Plugin Environment information would be useful here along with your site url.  I will attempt to answer you (not knowing what you have installed or versions)

Set “disable initial directory” and the map will only load after search is performed might be preferable for you,

2)  taking too long to load you map markers. , See the questions and answers and technical details in this older forum post:

How long it takes can  be attributable to how many results you have to show at startup, how your local browser and local Internet speed, and Google server response times, etc..
