You would not want a back up from 2016. If you updated WP to 4.9.5 or 4.9.6 it probably would not be compatible, as far as “add locations button missing in the back end….that would not be missing from the 4.9.11 update….did you migrate your site by any chance???????
CiciKeymasterannouncement in MARCH that was posted and sent to all news feed subscribers about the bug in 4.9.11 . If you noticed the issues back then you should have immediately notified us and we would have provided you instructions to restore from a back-up immediately.
You need to restore from a back-up from before that update. If you updated on a live site (never a good idea by the way) you may need to follow the instructions in the article if you have an experienced IT person to assist you.

The categories text repeating itself is fixed for 4.9.15. It should not effect functionality.
The big changes for 4.9.15 which is now in production will be the addition of a Google geocode key for those people who want to add referrers to restrict their API key.

If a new key did you add restrictions? if so the geocoding portion will not work with SLP version 4.9.14 or lower.
As a result of the Google API changes that will be in effect June 11, we are changing this in the next release (Version 4.9.15 )s this week . Once version 4.9.15 of SLP is released you will have the ability to add HTTP referrer restrictions if you also obtain the Google Geocoding Key
(The Google API key used for back-end geocoding of locations.)In the meantime double check your key

I am not understanding your exact question, if you have a screenshot or an example of what you are trying to accomplish that would be great.

CiciKeymasterAs mentioned before you still have a fatal error on that site….the map does load with hundreds of pins but there are so many icons crammed onto the page that it takes a good few seconds to load and “think”, and the search not working indicates you have more issues and you need an experienced WP developer to fix that site.
See under Search and results wont load in troubleshooting,It is common for web hosts and system administrators to disable the built-in WordPress AJAX processing. Store Locator Plus requires AJAX to be enabled. See the docs for more info.
Another issue that will break our plugin is if you have the Forceload Javascript loading
your site still has the following error.

Basically your site is a mess and I am not sure how I can help you. You need to have a developer Troubleshoot your site for you to fix it. P.S How did you get all those locations into the SLP locations data table? I do not see any import add-ons under your name nor under the name of your client. Did you add each one manually?
You might want to think about moving over to MySLP.com and starting over.
CiciKeymasterThe migration of a site from Http to https is not an easy task. Lance has written some news articles about this and other dev topics that you may find useful. You will need to make sure you have backups and dev sites for sure.

CiciKeymasterHave you looked into using the MySLP.Com Power, Professional or Enterprise level plans?
All the newer customization tweaks by our developer are going to be concentrated on the MySLP.com We manage the updates, the server etc. You wouldnt be running into these constant problems with trying to update the software. It uses embed. We take care of the Google API as part of the subscription.

CiciKeymasterLOL, I am glad you found the issue. Please let us know if you have any problems after the next updates scheduled to be released sometime before (hopefully) June 11. Most people will not be effected by the change in Google quotas as long as they add billing credentials to their API projects but we know it will scare a lot of people , especially those who never got an API key since will no longer have geocoding functions without one. We have posted news content about the upcoming changes and will do so again.

I just went to your site and a pop up window came up and states “this site most likely needs an API key.” That is not coming from us but most likely direct from Google, I guess it is their way of giving you a warning before the June 11 deadline. As far as I know they didnt move the deadline up but who knows, its google.
You probably need to find a solution to not being able to update the plugins soon. Google requires an API key and a billing account for everyone now. we cannot guarantee old versions of the plugin or insecure sites are going to continue to work as a result.
The developer is also making changes to the base plug-in as a result of the new google API key requirements and concerns about privacy.
Starting with 4.9.15 there will be two keys, one for browser key (allowing for HTTP referrers) and then another for a geocoding key.
CiciKeymasterCheck your theme to see if the col width is inherited . If you say you tried many different plugin styles and they do not return properly you may need to adjust by adding some CSS rules.
You can check if it is your theme that is overriding by switching to a basic WP default theme . WP 4.9.6 changed some theme settings as well. See WP codex for 4.9.6
CiciKeymasterCheck your Google API key for restrictions and/or referrers. I now have tested the only_with_category shortcode and all is working correctly. I had to ensure i had a google API key for geocoding correct and all is working now.
Do you have a staging site where you can clean up the site or to do your testing on?
when I inspect that site using the browser tools I do not see any fatal errors but I do see these warnings:

i disabled the intital directory. When I first searched within 10 miles no results, I checked my locations again and found that my locations marked as entertainment category were 100 miles away , using the drop down miles I selected 500 miles and searched again. All the locations within 500 miles marked as entertainment appeared, no other categories appeared. The Plug-in style I tested was default Store Locator Plus layout. This is the basic layout for the locator. It allows default browser and website themes to dictate the element styling.
I am conducting further tests though….I am having a problem with an old category I had that was a child category and then changed it, it had hyphenated slug. I will test it with the new Power and SLP beta release as well as soon as it is available.

CiciKeymasterBottom line you need to contact your theme author or whomever developed CSS for that theme and get them to fix it. Or Consider changing to a WordPress theme.
In fact that is a good way to test if itis your theme that is interfering, again suggest you do that on a staging or dev site but either way that is most likely a good pace to start
CiciKeymasterThose are not debugger logs, You need to use the WP debugger to find out which plugin or theme is throwing the javascript errors and breaking the store locator plus results.
I just went to your site. I loaded your site using CHROME and inspected it and there are less errors but this error is now coming back from your theme…..

If you do not know how to troubleshoot your site and need the developer to log-in and troubleshoot and provide you the detailed information needed for you to fix your individual site that would be a Paid support option .
I cannot fix your site from screenshots and tell you what is broken but switching plug-ins mid stream with existing or older themes can break things. This is why you should always have a back-up service and use something like vault press to restore back to. As a side note, the developer will not log into your site unless you have a full back-up. We never will make changes to someones production sites
CiciKeymasterThe duplicate entries are being fixed with Power beta 4.9.15 and SLP beta 4.9.15. If you have a staging site or dev site and would like to download any of the pre releases and let us know if you experience any issues that would be great. Pre release, beta versions are not intended for use on production sites. The categories panel duplication under SLP settings is still being addressed. Did you figure out the legend? what other issues were your seeing specifically/

CiciKeymasterI see what you mean. I have contacted the developer, he switched the page styles over to Vue so there may be some residual rows or columns, I will have him take a look at it.

Referring to the label portion not just location data , sorry add options_nojs…I will get more clarification.
If there is a specific plug in style you are trying to obtain, Lance might be able to add it to the Gallery style to make it easier (time permitting) if you send us an email wit exact look and feel you need.
