    Hi Maikel,

There was a recent issue that came up with Google and the developer discovered some shenanigans behind the scenes with javascript and Google. (Not sure if it effected the map portion)

Could you please provide your Plugin environment and site url? ( see guidelines of what we need to be able to assist you)

Ok, I think our answers crossed paths, but yes, it cannot be restricted. WP must be able to get to it.

let me know how it works out for you. I will close the post in a few days if all is well.
Thanks for providing the information in your reply.

Any remote URL must be accessible to the public.

If you can’t surf to it in private mode in a browser w/o entering credentials it won’t work.
If you have different versions of your plugin environment when you respond , please provide them . Alsao make sure your WPcron is not disabled.

Is the URL a public accessible url?

when I add a remote file retrieval, my url is not cleared out and is sitting there waiting for the WPCron.

not sure what your screenshots are showing us?

The “latest Power” Does not show us your current plugin environment.

    Yes
Use the short codes on a separate WP Page or Post. [SLPLUS only_with_category=”category”] The word in quotes is the category slug

P.S Please provide your versions and plugin environment as shown in the posting guidelines. There are changes depending on what versions of the SLP plugin, add-ons, WP and even which version of PHP. All that information is found under your SLP/Info/Plugin environment tab.

The shortcodes information can be found on the docs site

When I added the new location to my site with address as Place Verte 21, Spa Belgium postal code 4900, google came back with a different LAT/Long then what you are showing.

So I then just went direct to Google Maps , not usingSLP plug in and added address Place Verte 21, SPA belgium and got the same results
the lat long as shown here https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Place+Verte+21,+4900+Spa,+Belgium//@50.4908973,5.8589588

When I add your Latitude and Longtitude using any browser it comes back as the Hotel r…your Lat and longtitude is incorrect

I dont know what changed but your import of that lat and long is not correct according to Google (I even tried using Bing Maps) since the plugin is based on Google Maps , you need to correct the lat and long.

Try that and let me know how it works for you.

P.S is there a reason you haven’t updated your WP Plugins? The error messages I are many.

You can also have a dropdown for city in the search form or have Widgets..there are a number of ways to do this, with widgets you can also have it open on another page that shows just that country.

When I searched your site with Belgium for the country and SPA for address I did not see any results. When I just searched Belgium without inputting a city in address field there were results but none appeared to be in SPA. If you have a properly formatted location with correct geocode for a location in Spa (I would check any of those locations in your locations management to make sure Google has the correct lat/long and you see the inset of the Map and it is correct)..then make sure your Settings/Results/radius to search is a large enough number, especially if you have selected a center map at that is international and you have many countries.

Christin, looking at your site I am seeing AJAX-Admin forbidden 403. It has been locked down on your site for security reasons, this can adversely effect how SLP runs, if an AJAX-php error stops loading parts of your site, there is no telling when the search will fire off or stop in its tracks. This can cause tons of plugins besides SLP to not work properly.

This might not be the issue in your case, but there are a lot of errors on your site and invalid DOM warnings.

Hmm, Let me look into it , I had a similar question in the regular forum.

My versions of the Plugin and add-ons are current (4.9 and higher) so Im not sure how to go about testing with your versions.

Are you using the categories functionality at all? Or just countries?

We are aware that people were hesitant about updating WP and plugins,wp changed the way data queries were handled. Also if you update WP you will probably need to update Woocommerce etc.

I did see some errors on your site page when viewing with the developer tool in Chrome

Is the site url you provided a dev site?

    Hi Terry,
I revisited your site and noticed you had updated the add-ons but not SLP. You might want to update SLP to work with current versions.

You still have mixed content messages. This often happens when a site is served over https but the images are being uploaded from the older site http.

    I had same situation.
The fix is fairly easy. Just look at your markers on SLP and either re-select or if you have custom icons select from the media library and paste in the icon file location.
The correct format in the marker field (or icon field) string should end in

    /wp-content/uploads/slp/saved-icons/arrow.png

the old string would end in
    /wp-content/plugins/store-locator-le/images/icons/arrow.png

the problem with adding them to the SLP directory was that every time WordPress would update they would overwrite the directory. Thus your images would be deleted.

If you do not want a “home marker to appear, just select the blank under Settings/ map hide home marker.

You can also change the home map marker same way as eplained above, by selecting an image you wish to display as home marker.

Thanks, I will close this forum post. If you have any questions please post a new topic.

No problem. as for the plugin environment, that question for our purposes is for the Store locator Plus plugin environment.

To see the info, click on Store Locator Plus in your WP admin panel on your site. Under Info tab you will see :plugin environment”

    The screen looks like attached.

    Reference under documentation.

A little more information, suggestions (much of it is also in documentation site) ,
If you are getting a partial export, then your server is stopping before it can finish. You need to increase the PHP execution time. SLP tries to do that at runtime set to 600 seconds , which is enough time to export 250,000 locations on a typical server. However most hosting companies DO NOT allow it to be set by a program so if that is the situation in your case you may need to ask your hosting company to change it for you

Either that or select which records to export with the checkboxes and do it in smaller increments. It is very much related to your site configuration.

I do not know how you have selected your markers. You need to click on the string where the markers are located. Every time Wp was updated it writes over directory, the developer now has included the marker Uploads and the ability to add from your media library so your makers are not overwritten. Make sure your custom marker is in the media library and select that file string (not permalink) Under markers and icons you will see the media upload button. Properly saved icons if selected from the pre-loaded SLP icons should look like this, (note uploads and saved icons in the string)

    https://cici.storelocatorplus.com/wp-content/uploads/slp/saved-icons/arrow.png

not this (note the old legacy without the word uploads and the word images in the string) This cannot be found.

    https://cici.storelocatorplus.com/wp-content/plugins/store-locator-le/images/icons/arrow.png

Bottom line re-select your map marker or if you are using customized markers add to your media library.

Yes I can imagine it is frustrating. What versions are you using of SLP and add-ons? There were patches especially for people running lower versions of PHP and also the way WP changed data queries.

Could you provide your plugin environment. This will show versions of not only SLP and add-ons but also WP and PHP.

Some of the issues with large lists were addressed with latest releases of Power. See under News

    https://www.storelocatorplus.com/news/

If your server is under powered and you are exporting a large list, be sure you have updated to current versions. Troubleshooting Exports docs.

Review the Export documentation especially if you are exporting a large list.

In the future could you post separate topics with your Plugin information? The topic here was showing two countries but now has changed to map markers etc. Doing multiple splits of a topic is difficult.

Could you please start a new topic about your markers.

i am going to guess you have Mixed content now on your page if your markers are in a http file and you are now using https…that is the most common issue.

So, I visited your site and using the console browser developer tools (you can also do this, just click on tools and inspect)
sure enough the whole page is throwing this tidbit
Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://zoggs.com.au/stockists/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://zoggs.com.au/wp-content/plugins/store-locator-le/images/icons/bulb_blue-dot.png’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

Not sure I undersatnd, is Dc a default you want to show, that can be obtained with a shortcode on your page only_with_category =

    See https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/slplus-shortcode-options/

Also check under the Settings/Results and make sure you have Show locations checked and disable initial directory until after search
    https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/results-panel-settings/

Or did you would want to use the Single drop down settings if you have the Main parent category as Zoggs stocklist and designate others as child category.

If you want to define and have the choices be self aware, you may want to opt for checkbox button bar that is a new feature in Premier
    https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/category-button-bar/

many other setting specific for categorization selections when using multi levels is part of the premier add-on. https://wp.storelocatorplus.com/product/premier-subscription/

I am not sure exactly how your set up is on your page or what you are looking for, hope these suggestions help
