    Please follow posting guidelines

I do not know anything about your site, your other plugins, your layouts , your theme…try a different plugin style is first suggestion. If you need to change map layout or search layout or bubble layout or any SLP layouts that is included in Experience add-on. See documentation site for more info

P.S. You were cc’ed on the emails from Julius to support. Check out all the features available to you as well, best place to look is in the documentation using key word or category under Premier.
For example this feature is available to premier users and may be of use to you.

    Show address guess

    https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/show-address-guess/

    https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/how-to-show-address-suggestion/

If you are the technical point of contact that is awesome, you have the Premier forums, and if requested access to the Slack channel if you run into any difficulties and need to chat with the SLP developer.

    Great,

that was a typo on my part. The orders are under Shoppers Drug Mart Specialty Health Network
    i.e. SDM SHN

They have a premier subscription. Thus they have the Experience add-on available as well as the ability to post in Premier forums. You may want to double check with them.

When I went to one of your site and searched Surrey,

According to your location data returns results for Surrey British Columbia had these two addresses and postal codes:

    15157 56 Avenue, Unit 100
    Surrey, BC V3S 9A5

7322 King George Blvd, Unit 100
    Surrey, BC V3W 5A5

    Check
your addresses entered to see if they are correct.

Wehn I searched same site using the postal code you provided, it said no results and did not show me Czech…again I do not know if i am looking at the correct site or if you are testing on a new site so thats the best i can do with assistance.

Based on your user profile, are you representing sdmhh? If so, you do know they have Premier subscription which means you have access to Experience add-on and should be posting in Premier forums??

? Or are you working on a different site?

The results come from Google MAPS API. If your site is HTTPS you can use the Location sensor and obtain better results.
Google has become very restrictive about the security. See the info about location sensor here. https://www.storelocatorplus.com/store-locator-location-sensor-on-http/

Also, without seeing your url, I do not know how your search form looks. See Documentation for how to set up your search form for best results. Auto complete based on your location data might help
    https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/search-address-auto-complete-setting/

but the simplest way to resolve is to ask your site visitor (provide instructions in the Search form label) to provide city and zip or address and zip, etc. In other words the more defined the information, just like your browser searches, the better the chance they will get results.
    https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/search-panel-settings/

Without your site url I cannot see if you have error messages…you can use Browser tools to inspect your console and see if google is returning any warnings or errors.

I spoke to the developer and we have some questions

Do we understand what you are trying to accomplish:
    1) You want to limit to only two categories on one map but then have another map with different categories only and a category selector? And one parent category doesn’t really have addresses, just cities?
    2) and having one set of location data for two different sets of locations, some showing locations with addresses and others without addresses?

This is going to be a challenge. Perhaps a better way would be to use posts or pages to show a list of cities where they have events/meetings and keep those places out of the location database. Use an event manager perhaps?

It might be possible to put all those addresses in a single locator and with some customization but we are basically going to bend the plugin until it breaks trying to make it do something it is not really setup for.

I cannot reproduce your errors or those warning on my test site.

    1) Assuming you had a backup of your site before you updated , if so on your staging site can you restore your previous versions and see if you still see an error?

    2) See the suggestions under Troubleshooting here. Turn off plugins one by one to see if the error keeps occurring.

Most people do not update just one plugin but a bunch at the same time so isolating an issue becomes a problem.  Some themes do not get updated at all and when WP updates causes issues that were not issues before.

I am guessing it is one of your plugins or theme that may be causing issues and is not playing nice with SLP . (example we recently had one customer who reported no results showing and when he followed the troubleshooting guide  he found an antispam plugin caused SLP to not work the way it should.)

Do not chance fooling around with a live production site, always make sure you have a Back-up (and it is best to also have a staging site)    We strongly recommend looking into the WordPress backup, or better option  Jet Pack.   One of the features included , besides real-time incremental backups of your site with restore points, is the ability to restore the site to an alternate site.

    3) If after troubleshooting you still have an issue do you have a backup of your site or a staging site  that you can turn on the categories and reproduce the error so that we can look at it on the staging site?

As far as I know the Button bar, as you mentioned does not allow multiple categories. The Button bar was a customization for a specific customer who paid for the feature but now it is included in Premier.

I can ask the developer if you think it is something you need, i.e to be able to have a button bar and select more then one category and have it limit categories. It will most likely have to be a customization project of some sort.

and you are correct, you cannot have an only with = two categories and using the checkboxes horizontal or vertical choose multiple categories. To limit categories shown you would need to use the shortcode. There might be some CSS you could do with the search layout.

Since you want multiple pages each to show results differently , I think The best way to do that would probably be having it redirect via html to another page with the shortcodes not show on the same exact map page. I will run it by the developer to see if he has a different solution.

The Experience add-on   (on sale now) will do what you need. (Super extendo is part of the base plugin and hadn’t been sold as an add-on for over four years.)

To find information about ranking and other features available with the add-on please refer to the documentation.

Debbie which plugin style are you using? And what shortcodes do you have on the page? Did you try a different plugin style?
I cannot reproduce the issue on my site.

Your map is zooming and then on the page splitting the map in half, I do not know if it is your theme or another plugin causing that type of rendering.    But  basically the search is not working on your site at all, and that usually indicates a javascript issue with another plugin or theme.  Did you update your plugins and theme to work with current versions of WP?

See the suggestions under Troubleshooting here.

As far as the error I spotted using the Browser inspect console….According to the developer if the output of the [slp_pages] shortcode is not working something on your dev site has to be doing something messed up elsewhere in your site code. It could possibly even be a page accelerator or cache that is breaking — pre-compiling/caching the HTML versus letting WordPress deal with all the I/O in an effort to speed things up.

It is above my skill set ( I am not a developer either). If you do need extensive developer help that would be a paid support feature.

The second way would be to delete all pages, (once you have the page template the way you want ) then recreate them with status as Published.

ok, just talked to the developer. I provided you incorrect information on how to bulk Publish pages. The tab I was saying is under the Pages, is set to draft , that is for how you want the first status when you first create the Page. It will not go back and reset those to published. There is a reason for that, there are customers with a thousand store pages and they do not want there administrators to be able to just automatically create new pages and have them published.

The way you do publish them is a built in WordPress tools, after you have created Pages , go to sidebar menu under SLP Logo, All Pages (this is a WordPress feature) It will show the list of all your store pages, you check off under Bulk Edit all the ones you want to change . There is a screen that allows you to change status, you would change it to publish.

    See screenshot.

I apologize for the confusion, I do not use SEO Pages on my own site so had to become familiar with the process again.

When I look at the site url you provided I see these errors:

Uncaught ReferenceError: slplus is not defined
    at HTMLDocument. (slp-power_userinterface.min.js?ver=4.9.4:1)
    at i (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2)

    at Function.ready (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2)
    at HTMLDocument.K (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2)

If slplus is not defined none of the SLP JavaScript will work

You have two WordPress Store Locator Plugins on that site. Therefore Google will have a difficult time trying to figure out what to fire off. When I looked at the site using the console tools it was obvious that it was the other plugin firing off not Store locator Plus

You need to turn off the other plugin if you want to use ours instead. I wont be able to help you otherwise. Sorry.

Please follow the Posting Guidleines when posting in the forums.
We need your plugin environment to be able to assist you.

    Hi Stuart,

Any logo can be uploaded into the WP media library on the admin site and used for markers.  Perhaps they had added something to a child theme or added CSS. somewhere in the results layout.  I have no way of knowing the WPSLP does not have have a repository of individual site images.  That would be on their directory.

They would (I assume) have backed up their site or saved their CSS in a directory before making any changes

You can change the Results layout using html and css. And select or keep the plugin style that meets their needs

That is because Google will return what they think your customers are looking for and based on the most popular searches, London England will be returned.

There are various ways to work around this.
    1) With the base SLP and no add-ons Add text in the search form box (under settings/Search/labels…that will assist the user, such as enter city and zip or city and country. Consider this label as  a help text tool for the site visitor to assist them as to what will return the fastest results.   Label Examples:  zipcode, city, street, or a combination such as  address / zipcode.  The more detailed the better. We find address and zip code to be the most useful hint.  If you leave this label blank nothing will appear in front of the search form box and your site visitors will be guessing what to enter as keywords to search (the same as any other search boxes). They can type in anything an hope that Google returns what they are looking for.

    2) Add-ons that can allow discrete searches, or add a drop down of where your locations are for example, or autocomplete or show Google guesses etc. (see what to buy)

    3) if all your locations are in Canada, you can also use the Append to search setting available with the experience add-on.

Please follow the posting guidelines and provide your plugin environment.  Since I do not know if you already have add-0ns, what versions, or if your site is https, I have included as much information as possible as to why the results are going to London England as well as methods to assist your users to obtain best results.

If your site is HTTPS and you believe all your users want locations near them you can use location sensor.

Documentation on how the search, Google API, and add-ons work.

that isnt a shortcode….there is no slp_pages shortocde. What are you trying to do on that one?
