ChristianParticipant
While doing some last minute testing of my own before I pulled the trigger on assistance from one of your developer’s, I ended up fixing the problem. In settings, I’ve always had “Search Form Style” set to “Base”. I set it to “None” and now the results show as they should. Bizarre. Never had to do this before, but…..IT’S FIXED!
ChristianParticipantYes – as stated in my previous post – I have a staging dev site ready for the developer. And also yes – I tried using a standard WordPress theme & not a custom theme. Thank you for the info on the next step to have a developer look at this. You & I are both confused as to why this isn’t working the way it should & hopefully they can get to the bottom of it.
ChristianParticipantI have set WP_DEBUG to true. Results are still showing incorrectly – selected categories are still not showing correct in results. Seems to just be picking whatever is closest to the search city/state or zip, irresponsive of category.
I also ran a dev test WITHOUT the H-Code theme enabled and ALL plugins disabled except for SLP + Power/Experience/Premier. This means all that was running on the site was SLP. Results were the same. I’ve also clicked on and off every option I can find within your plugins at least 10x to no avail.
Something else is awry. I give up.
Received your email about a developer’s help. I have set up a staging site. Let me know what the next step is to begin working with a developer.
Very curious to see what the solution to this problem is. One last item I must add – and this is VERY important…..the plugin was working just fine before your last update.
Thank you.
ChristianParticipantI listed my versions in the second sentence after my website address. Here they are again: <span style=”background-color: #fbfbfb; color: #5a5b5c; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;”>Running SLP, Experience, Power, Premier (all 5.3.2) on latest version of WP (5.3.2)</span>
And yes, Premier is running 5.3.2. I had to download it from your site and install just like last time, as it would not auto update.
Checked all my correspondence to/from SLP. Support never sent me an email about the server issue. For whatever reason, the last time this happened was also right after there was a new SLP update – then somehow it started working properly.
Looks like you should put me in touch with the developer. I seem to have a lot of issues with this plugin every time someone makes an update on your end. Then we get it fixed, then an update gets made, then we’re back where we were. Please be sure emails from your developer come to me at graphics@floeintl.com, not cindyg@floeintl.com
Thank you
ChristianParticipantPlugin environment attached. Everything is now updated, yet I still have no option to turn on/off the indicator – just says “none”. This was a nice feature for people with slow networks so they knew something was actually going on and our locator was “working” and not stuck or returning no results.

I’ll be updating WP after hours sometime this week & will let you know if this solves the issues. No idea what happened with the garbled message that reverted to code. Sorry about that & thanks again.
ChristianParticipantStill need to do a bit more testing, but it appears that the iPhone/Android issue has been solved with the latest round of updates. Whether or not it was the “fault” of the update or who knows what/how it’s been fixed – either way, thank you. Also, please pardon the duplicate posting about the Premier update. This is the same message as appears in my “Premier Update not working” post.
ChristianParticipantLatest update for Premier is not able to update. Running 5.3 SLP Plus, Experience, and Power on latest version of WordPress. Error message below.
<span style=”color: #32373c; font-family: -apple-system, system-ui, ‘Segoe UI’, Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, ‘Helvetica Neue’, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; background-color: #fbeaea;”>Update Failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature</span>
ChristianParticipantUnfortunately still the same case with phones. Desktop is ok, but locations still show up without doing anything at all on on phones. I’m having a few other issues which I’ll address in separate posts.
ChristianParticipantThanks for the suggestions – I’ll keep digging and testing – – – and please let me know if you and/or the developer discover any new revelations. Here’s my plugin environment: SLP Plus, Experience, Premier all running on 5.2.11; Power is 5.2.5. Latest version of WP 5.2.4, theme is H-Code. Again, thanks!

I don’t know what you mean by this – where is this located? Maybe this is what’s causing the issue. I’ve tried your other suggestions with no luck. By the way, I wasn’t having this problem before the most recent SLP update, which I did within the last week.
ChristianParticipantThanks much. The 5.0.3 update of SLP fixed the search issues we were having.
ChristianParticipantThank you.
ChristianParticipantSLP, Experience, Power, Premier – all 5.0.1
Let’s try to at least deal with the first issue. If a city is made of two names, why does a customer sometimes have to type the name with no space, such as internationalfalls, mn or elpaso, tx. Yet “new orleans, la” works with or without a space?
I don’t remember this ever being an issue with SLP before.
ChristianParticipantI already have them ranked 1, 2, 3 but they are showing up on the page as 2, 1, 3. Right now the categories are “Cargo Max” (ranked as 2), “Docks & Lifts” (ranked as 1), “Versa Max” (ranked as 3). I want “Docks & Lifts” to be the first category in the list, but it’s showing up second. https://floeintl.com/dealer-locations/
ChristianParticipantThank you. I haven’t had to use this feature for a long time.
November 17, 2017 at 12:07 PM in reply to: Make Radius field & miles go away in customer view #55041ChristianParticipantThank you. I did not realize that the Experience and Power add-ons needed to be added separately. As I stated, from the verbage on your site, it sounded like they were included within the architecture of the Premier plugin itself. I apologize. Dewey (off-site) is no longer working on the site. All maintenance is now done in-house.
November 17, 2017 at 10:19 AM in reply to: Make Radius field & miles go away in customer view #55038ChristianParticipantWe have SLP Premier & Power both running ver 4.8.6. We do not have the Experience plugin. From what I read on your site, the Premier incorporates both the Power and Experience add ons. Maybe I misunderstood the text below the pitch for “Get It All With Premier” that says “Get everything we offer including the Power and Experience add ons.”? When we upgraded to Premier (which was within a week of buying Power) our developer asked SLP support if we could get a refund for Power but we never heard anything back. I guess I’m thoroughly confused now.
And yes – the site is WP – we’re currently running the latest version – 4.9, the theme of the site is H-Code.
Lastly, yes – I am making changes to the live site. In the past 3 years using SLP, I’ve never had any issues making tweaks to SLP while in a live environment – and I’ve done a boatload. I only use a dev site for testing major changes to the site. I wish that every time I made a tweak to SLP, I could do so on the dev site, then examine the outcome, then scratch my beard, sip some coffee, mull it over a little longer, then apply the same change to the live site – I but I do not have the time. Web design and maintenance are about 1/5 of my job. This is why I’ve stayed with SLP for so long – It’s a rock solid plugin & I’m able to make changes on the fly. I appreciate your advice, though.
November 16, 2017 at 12:47 PM in reply to: Make Radius field & miles go away in customer view #55017ChristianParticipantThere is no “hide radius” check box or selection. Please see attached screenshot.

I’ve been able to make this area useless except for “miles” still showing ….I still can’t figure out a way to make this dropdown/cell/field disappear. Check it out at: https://www.floeintl.com/dealer-locations/
I’m reluctant to try a new map style because when I do, a window pops up saying I should back up all my information. I’m afraid I’ll break all my information, which will lead to downtime. Is there any way to get rid of this last dropdown/cell/field without choosing a new map? I see no options or checkboxes, etc., on the back end. Or maybe I’m blind.
I have another question, but I’ll post that in a new topic. Thank you!
ChristianParticipantThanks, Cici – this helps a great deal. I’m having an outside firm create the new site, so they will (or already have) buy the Premier version and I’ll go from there. Thanks again for your help and advice.
