CiciKeymaster
Sure Andrew,
The timing out issue could be your server capacity, especially if you are on a shared server. Assume you have quite a few locations in the table if you are using Janitor. Can you set yourAdmin UI under Locations Manage to display locations lets say a 100 at a ytime and then use the bulk actions to check off the 100 at a time and delete permanently from the Locations Manager Tab? The only thing you should be aware, if your server cant handle it it might not load next time and you will need to make sure to re set the display filter back to a smaller number after you have done that or the whole Locations tab may not open next time and you will need to use Janitor to reset that under the options_nojs
Not sure when Lance will get a chance to look into this with his schedule.

CiciKeymasterPlease refer to the Posting Guidelines and post your Plugin Environment, site and versions, etc
CiciKeymasterI will report it to Lance, to see if it is a bug in Janitor or if it is incompatible with PhP version you have.
CiciKeymasterHi,
Are you using the Tab under Janitor called Tools/Locations
Clear Locations?
Clearing ALL locations is a destructive process that cannot be undone. Make sure you have a full backup of your site before proceeding.
CiciKeymasterThe default center map is the country domain if you do not add one specifically. If you have ProPAck, which I see you do, the locations sensor under General/User Interface that you can check off.
Clicking on the greyed out question mark is the read me help:
This turns on the location sensor (GPS) to set the default search address. This can be slow to load and customers are prompted whether or not to allow location sensing.
CiciKeymasterFantastic Kevin, Thanks for letting us know and we will close the post.
If you like Store Locator Plus please leave a ★★★★★ rating on WordPress.org. If you do not feel it warrants a 5 star (or a 4 star) , please contact us and let us know how we can improve. A huge thank you from Lance and his fellow code geeks!
CiciKeymasterPlease read Lance’s latest news about themes and what to check for to ensure they work with WP 4.5 and SLP…the latest uodate to WP 4.5 revealed a whole lot of lazy themese and plugins who arent following best practices or not using latest jquery
CiciKeymasterFor a generic change you can go under Experience/Results/Labels and change the word email, but if you actually want to show the email address, that is under Layout and requires specific shortcodes.
But, sounds like you want to change the display under the Results,
Those changes of Layouts are part of the Expereince ADD-ON
April 21, 2016 at 3:23 PM in reply to: No Locations Returned and Weird Notice on Settings Page #40614CiciKeymasterSHort answer:
The old versions you have of SLP and WP are no longer supported. We do not maintain and cannot fix anything on those old versions . Only current versions are maintained. We are now on version 4.4.37 and about to release SLP 4.5 . There were major security fixes over the years by WP. Running old versions like that are opening you up to Malware, hacks and all kinds of issues…your error message is not from WP ..Sucuri is trying to tell you something.
Who told you not to update? If it was a theme author or someone else they must be using bad practices in WP and should really get updated.
I thought at first you meant not update to 4.5…but not update to even versions 4.4. of WP is dangerous and insecure.
Read these:
SUCURI found MALWARE in WP versions 2015

WP 4.5 and why poor themes and bad jquery rules are just plain BAD
SLP author also see in that article for links to the WP support threads and other best practices
CiciKeymasterTabitha…..according to the USPS the address you had is not correct zip code:
2200 ELM STREET
YOUNGSTOWN OH 44505
Here’s the full address, using standard abbreviations and formatting.
The address you provided is not recognized by the US Postal Service as an address we serve. Mail sent to this address may be returned.
But if I enter this address I do get a response from the USPS .perhaps you need to double check some of these addresses to see if the zip is correct, perhaps your business address doesnt get Mail?
2201 ELM ST
YOUNGSTOWN OH 44505-2511
CiciKeymasterOops, Maybe its my fault, I just added the location using Country Club lane, but I also added the city as Youngstown ohio…so maybe there isnt a country club lane in Youngstown Ohio so Google decided I meant country lane in Poland Ohio… I would think that the city /state/zip would have preference over the street address. I wonder if Lance can put in some tweaks to override the query to Google…to say look at the zip or state before the address…
Google has a grudge against certain areas apparently…my guess is that someone on their developers team has added some algorithms or whatever to try and guess based on different criteria than what it was before. That happens a lot.
So I now am following Gerry’s theory that we have bad addresses according to Google… next test looking at the GOOGLE COMMERCIAL , Public MAPS
There are many zio codes in the common Youngstown area, which kind of blows my mind for a small city.
Apparently this address is 44505 but Google says it really isn’t Youngstown, Ohio
391 Whipple Ave
Campbell, OH 44405
CiciKeymasterPlease provide your Plugin Environment. (see Posting Guidelines)
CiciKeymasterAre you getting a time out error or a Google error? SLP does not have a maximum amount you can load. The big issues are caused by 1) your host/ server limitations (if you are on a shared server) 2) Google Query limitations (and if you are on a shared server every query to the Google Maps API counts not just yours) and 3) Configutration
From first glance, your csv file looks ok. See Troubleshooting for common issues and look under the documentation on the page below for the section “Large List Imports:
Could you provide your Plugin Environment and site url when you are posting in the forums please.
CiciKeymasterInteresting. There were also issues reported in the Developers Google API support threads that complained about a lot of areas in France not showing up at all. So apparently Google does not make the connection of a list of zips incorporated or updated. As Tabitha reported, this was working correctly before (I believe) and recently started coming back with mismatch search results.
According to the USPS , zip code 44505 is indeed Youngstown, Ohio you are correct the Google Map query is calling back based on a bunch of different criteria, lat/long, a number or a street in the address, what is searched most often etc. I double checked , i.e. address Country Club Ave Youngstown Ohio, It Geocoded correctly in my SLP locations file (according to Google) : https://www.google.com/maps/place/41%C2%B002’60.0%22N+80%C2%B037’22.5%22W/@41.0499952,-80.6404369,14z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0
But when I search by zip code, and also forcing the US map domain and also appending country with US, The google query for 44505 comes back with
Main St, Delta Junction, AK 99737, USA
Next, Using the Premier add-on and checking the box called “Google Influenced Guesses”., and “defined boundaries” ” when I then type in a zip code search 44505, still no results , but if I type in Youngstown, my location appears below the map in the results but not with the zip code * I entered but a different one .
So luckily I have another box in Premier that I checked “Show Address Guess ” ( If checked, replace the address the user typed into the address box with what Google thought they meant.)
I then get a result of what Google thinks I meant: Youngstown, OH 44514, USA
Note: I do not have that address zip code in my Locations database, I entered 44505. but at least now it is coming back with a reasonable response.
So again, more detail in search is needed, and if you really want to trick or see what Google is thinking, must have Premier installed..
See second screen shot, is this what you meant about Poland… There actually is a Poland Street or Road in Youngstown Ohio, nearby I wonder if that along with an unrecognized (by Google) zip code might make Google go to the Ukraine , ie. absent all the tricks above ..? We may never know

SLP is not broken. SLP uses extensive javascript, so Anything that stops javascripts from loading will break SLP.
This article and BLOG Why WP 4.5 breaks Jquery and how it effects SLP: explains what is happening in the WP world and why people should request their plugins or Themes to update to use new Jquery versions has been published by the SLP Author. There is a tutorial video on how to check which plugin has the wrong jscript

CiciKeymasterYep…
See the answers to Tabitha posts. Google has decided to move some zip codes out of the US>. And there is absolutely nothing we can do at the moment until the developer comes up with yet another magic pill. So in the meantime (see the forum post link above) The solution is to make people specify more than the zipcode.
Google has also moved a zip code in Ohio to the Ukraine, when I set my map to only use the USA Google map domain, it was kind enough to send me to Alaska instead of Ohio or the Ukraine. It is frustrating and periodically Google changes their algorithms for unknown reasons but make sure it only effects the Developers API…. You can see that it is actually an error in their own Google API, they allow you to test and enter a zip code, they know I am in US and they sent me to Saudi Arabia just like you said. (My screenshot attached.)
Google Developers API search zip cde
Lance has published many Blogs about this issue.
Excerpt from the developer:
Here is a way to test if region influence works:
http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=Toledo®ion=ES
Versus
http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=Toledo®ion=USTop one is Spain. Bottom is USA.Have an address that is not working? Try this first…When your map domain in USA the ®ion=US is what we send to Google…. this URL uses the same service as the Google Maps JavaScript API.Attachments:
You must be logged in to view attached files.CiciKeymasterNo I don’t believe it is a SLP bug, Either Google MAP API does not think that zip code is within your radius setting (*No surprise there, they often change their algorithms and I have an Australia Map that I had to change settings and manually insert the correct lat/long) If you check the locations geocodeed LAT/LONG is it coming up correctly? I had to physically set the lat/long for the Sydney Opera House for example, because Google kept trying to put it somewhere a few streets back…=== (see attached example to check where the geocode lands you)
Do you have radius behavior set as Always use ?
Check the Search Address Nearest: Is it set to World wide or Current a MAP
Worldwide is the default search, letting Google make the best guess which addres the user wants. Current Map will find the best matching address nearest the current area shown on the map.
You can also see what your zoom settings are and adjust accordingly. You might try to set your zoom level tighter and your Results Radius To Search Initially lower instead of 8000km. . Do you have your Center Map set or is it set at just center of Australia? If you have most sites in the lower half of Australia you might want to pick a center map at slightly different.
You still have some outdated add-ons. New versionsdo not always show up in the WP admin panel because they are add-0ns and WP checks for updates of all plugins in a 12 hour loop so when a lot of plugins update at same time, like now when Version 4.5 was released it may never get to our SLP add-ons.
If you look under your SLP panel tab INFO NEWS periodically , any version updates or issues are announced in a post there. It is good to read the posts occasionally because we have started to include many tutorial videos about the updates. The newer 4.4 versions normally do show up as needing version updates but only when you open your Plugin List .
PRODUCTS Page. you can click on various Add-ons or go to your account to see downloads to update
Pages (formerly called Store Pages) is version 4.4.07
ProPAck version update post is 4.4.04
Social Media Extender is 4.4.01
Enhanced Results is now considered a Legacy add-on since the =newer version is included in Experience Add-on but is 4.3.02 , Ditto: Enhanced Map older 4.3 version is 4.3.01 or the newer 4.4 versions is in Experience add-on,
Enhanced Search is 4.3.03…ditto as above, inc EXP

It might not work exactly as you described it, I have only seen the beta release. It takes weeks and weeks of coding and testing the algorithms for a territory type function and is rather complex.
You can use Directory Builder to list by city or state or country where you have locations, but there is no way to assign multiple zip codes to one location. Some of our customers have used Tagalong with the category Manager and Extended Data to achieve similar results. You can review some of the customer sites and play around with our demo.
MAP Settings documentation can be adjusted under the Experience/Map tab.
CiciKeymasterI love it when people answer their own questions. Was it your bubble layout by any chance?
CiciKeymasterOn further investigation we have found that ALL plugins or demo sites that use Google Maps API are throwing off some zip codes into a “state of confusion” no matter what you do. It is the Google API, it is even coming back incorrectly on Googles own developers API tools.
@ Tabitha,
You are using the Best Solution to this Google issue:
For others who read this post , until someone can find a workaround to trick Google Maps API to behave properly add verbiage to require visitors to your site to search by adding more information in the address search box .
See the instructions label (found under Experience/Results/Instructions) that can assist you in defining what info is needed in the event that No results comes back. “enter your city and state and/or zip code for better results”…or your own verbiage.
CiciKeymasterHi again Toby,
This is strange, the purchase now should not have worked as yet. It isn’t supposed to be in Production as yet, it is still in Alpha release.. Do not use it on a production site, please send an email to support so that we can coordinate with you.
Thanks
CiciKeymasterOk, I tested it and the way you get it to not appear is by putting in a single space in the Expereinece/Results/Instructions box…just a single space, no verbiage and save. It is working for me with the pre release 4.5 can you check it with 4.4.10 EXP?
CiciKeymasterHi Toby,
I am confused. You purchased “Power addon” to test on a development site? It hasnt been released yet for production sites. There are no orders in our system for it.
CiciKeymasterOk,
Thanks I will identify to Lance to look at it when he is done with this customization project he has been working on
CiciKeymasterHi James.
You must enter the shortcode not copy it from the documentation page..the docs page has html text and is not a unique SLP shortcode
so type it in on the page [slp……etc]
