Melissa, Have you updated all your Plugins and Add-ons now? Have you updated to WP 4.5.? If you have and you have any issues please post in a new forum thread. There have been a lot of updates since this post, quite a few of our plugins and add-ons are now on version 4.5 to keep current with WordPress. If you are experiencing any issues after updating WP to 4.5 please read the Authors Post.
May 25, 2016 at 11:33 AM in reply to: Search results work but the map shows a different location #41193CiciKeymaster1) Oh Gosh, I am so sorry. I totally forgot that the Enhanced Add-ons were not released individually as a v 4.4 because EXPERIENCE ADD-On was already released at the same time when SLP went to 4.4 instead. Sorry My mistake, Only ProPack, Tagalong, etc the other add-ons that haven’t been rolled into Power or Premier as yet were updated to 4.4. as individual add-ons. I can send you a coupon, I replied to your IT person about that in email.
Sorry about that miscommunication:, so let me try to understand your question a little better.
2) I visited your site, I do not know as much about the UK geography so I just entered a search for “Devonshire”.
A list of results came up and a few pins came up on the map. Do you have a Center MAP at a central location? Have you selected the UK Map domain? What are your zoom settings/ (Zoom was adjusted in an update) Post about EXPERIENCE and ZOOM updates
Did the issue only appear with the WP 4.5.2 update? If so check that your Theme and other plugins updated to utilize the rules set by the WP 4.5 version.. Dev POST about the WordPress updates and effects that pother plugins or themes can have on your Map.
3) I inspected the site, went to Console and error message appeared, you might want to check that plugin and see if it is updated or is interfering with the map :
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://test.mrshericksshakes.co.uk/buy-us/animate.css
Please let me know if this info helps.

All of your Enhanced Add-ons are out dated and will not work properly with all the newer 4.5 versions of SLP and WP 4.5.2. .There have been a lot of changes, improvements and security updates. WP 4.5.2 also effected the way some themes and plugins worked. It uses the new version of jquery.
All of the Enhanced Add-ons that you show (Results search and map as well as Widgets) are now part of the new Experience Add-on, (not to be confused with the Experience package previously sold, that model was not working well)
The Enhanced add-ons are considered Legacy, they will work, but you would need to update them to at least 4.4..x versions.
Suggest you update those versions, and or purchase the newer EXP Add-on. I can offer you a discount coupon to use, since you bought the Other add-ons within the past year. If you wish to do that please send an email to Support/Contact Us
The reason for the changes are explained in Lances Post
CiciKeymasterDid you try the single space in the placeholder (no text just a space) and did it work for you?
May 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM in reply to: Tried switching plugin style to eliminate map and locations no longer pulling #41159CiciKeymasterMeg,
Thanks, please keep us updated. I have added this as a potential issue to the developers task. He just got back so it might be a while before he sees it. have you tried browser stack to cross test the site on various platforms?
CiciKeymasterYour Theme or another plugin is breaking the ability to load js. Your Divi or custom norvell theme is using outdated versions of jquery. The SLP Plugin style is heavily reliant on Javascript
You will need to debug and hopefully resolve with the theme authors
CiciKeymasterHi Roberto,
Set the default under Experience search to a lower number if you want the locations closer to come up first. Your drop down search km is currently set to 100Km. The default is set by using parentheses around the radii.
Are you all set?
May 20, 2016 at 10:34 AM in reply to: Tried switching plugin style to eliminate map and locations no longer pulling #41138CiciKeymasterP.S. Have you checked your plugin version of WPBakery Visual composer? There were some issues after last WP 4.5 update apparently. It appears you have an older version, but I could not find that specific author as shown on your screenshot.
May 20, 2016 at 10:17 AM in reply to: Tried switching plugin style to eliminate map and locations no longer pulling #41137CiciKeymasterHi Meg,
The SLP plugin styles are Javascript intensive. Any of your other plugins , or theme, that are interrupting the flow of js will effect how the SLP map and plugin styles work. Have you checked all your plugins and themes, even ones that are in your plugin suite but may be deactivated, to see if they are running the current versions of jquery iaw WP 4.5 updates? If SLP was working before in ios and now isnt I would look at other updates as well. I havent had a chance to test all the browsers but the developer does when he updates. He is currently our of town. I added it to the list of testing to make sure it isnt our site.
If you could troubleshoot or debug and see what you can find out, it would be appreciated. The link and Info is here in authors last post
CiciKeymasterJanitor is free yes…You have a back up of your site right?
You can go to WP directory and load any version of SLP from there. I am not sure if that will fix your particular issue.
WP has issued some warnings of late about security. All plugin and your theme authors should be fixing and updating to keep current with WP best practices, yes when they change things it causes a ripple effect, but it goes with the territory of developing plugins and themes. The author always suggest people have back up of their WP sites for that reason there are some inexpensive plans out there, but that is a different subject

CiciKeymasterHi, I checked your site and I can see the Widgets, and the Map as hidden.
Did you update your divi theme after you updated WP 4.5.? They were mentioned in WP master list as having some issuesAre your other plugins using updated jquery? See the authors post about disappearing Map due to Javascript errors . He has a tutorial on that post as well.
I don’t understand why your Experience panel/ View would be missing on the back end admin UI . Do you have Network Active Multisites on by any chance?
If none of the issues described above are apparent, can you roll back to an earlier version and see if it appears?
CiciKeymasterThanks! I will close this post, if you have any issues with the updates please start a new thread.
CiciKeymasterHi Mark,
I do not see the Experience add-on as part of your Plugin Suite, I see ProPack and Tagalong. Did you mean under the Experience tab (I know it is confusing) . Are you using WP 4.5.2? If you roll back to SLP 4.4.37 do your labels save?
Note: I do not know if this has anything to do with it, I hope not but when I did a quick inspection of your site, it did show some failures, you might want to debug , if you need tutorial on that, see Troubleshooting: These are the errors I saw on your site when I used tools/console. Has your theme been updated to use current Jquery versions?
jquery.js:2 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘replace’ of undefined

CiciKeymaster1) The Map : Available in Experience Add-on worldwide or current. Worldwide is the default search, letting Google make the best guess which address the user wants. Current Map will find the best matching address nearest the current area shown on the map.
2) In order to search in all the different ways you mention , you need the Experience Add-on . You can establish Discrete search functions under the selector , and /or have the Widgets for search by city/state/country. See the product description in Experience add-on. You will also be able to easily change the appearance of the layout, such as Order results by Name or closest farthest, or ranked or featured etc.
3) When you say he wants the ability to sort Online…are you associating that with a Product and/or are assigning to specific stores, such as “these products (categories) are only available on-line? online only would be a tag assigned by you using ProPackin that case
4) Import/export is done via ProPack.
You need to follow the guidelines for Import.i.e. csv file format and proper data fields. Here is documentation on that.
5) Auto detect: Location sensor comes with ProPack.
If you are going to purchase Experience and have already purchased Tagalong and ProPack, you might be interested in the Premier subscription which includes everything as well as features not available in any of the other Add-ons, it might be useful if the client is going to request or add features as you go along, or if you plan on running Network Active Multisites in the future. It also includes Google address guesses, Location boundaries, additional layouts, cluster map markers, to name a few.
Your recent purchases would qualify you for a discount with a coupon towards the Premier set up fee.
Here are some additional documentation links and also tutorials on our SLP YouTube channel that might be a good start and give you some visual aids on how to do some of the items you mentioned.
You can also check out our demo site to see the features with Experience and the other add-ons installed.
Let me know if I have answered all your questions or if you need additional information.
CiciKeymasterHi Mark,
Could you provide me with your Plugin Environment, versions add-ons etc? A screenshot is best, as well as your site url that has the locator page.
(see Posting Guidelines for info we require to better assist you)
Thanks
CiciKeymasterThanks for letting us know, I was going to suggest that, there were a lot of issues that caught people unaware so lance wrote a post about it when I found the info in the WP Master list. Post Where is my Map
Hope the info and the read provides you some useful info.
If you like Store Locator Plus please leave a ★★★★★ rating onWordPress.org. A huge thank you from Lance and his fellow code geeks!
CiciKeymasterThank you for your patience while I look into this further:
I am looking at your site again. There is still something using the old jquery 1.11. 3 but that is not the reason for the Enh. Results label issue as far as I can see. Just a heads up that your plugin or theme or because of the version of WP if you have not updated to 4.5 it may cause issues further down the line. i.e. Warning https://chameleonglass.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.11.3
To further delve into your issue:
I turned off my Experience Add-on and reverted back to and downloaded the older Enhanced Results legacy add-on v 4.3.02 and it is not saving the label change as you have indicated , so it is a bug. I will report it to the developer.
Please note : With the Experience Add-on that label does work, that is why I couldn’t see it on my site. (see attached screenshot of how it appears with Experience add-on) All the Enhanced Legacy add-ons are worked on as time is allowed and only to fix bugs. All coding efforts are concentrating on the newer add-ons Experience(includes what was formerly Enhanced Search,Map,Results and Widgets) and Power and Premier, all have updated and newer features. This reduces the plugin maintenance challenges and interchangeability with the other add-ons. as well as support and developer overhead.
The authors post about this process “Future Direction of SLP”
I apologize for not catching this sooner, unfortunately I no longer test new versions of SLP or WP 4.5. with older legacy add-ons so we have to rely on customers such as yourself to report.
The developer is out of town at the moment and upon his return ahas a couple of paid custom projects to finish up, so I am not sure when he will get to this fix.
If you choose to update to the newer versions 4.5 that is included with a purchase of the Experience Add-on I will provide you with a coupon value of the ER purchase to offset the cost.
If you wish to go that route, please send your request with contact info to our Support.

Here is an article Lance wrote on the subject.
If the community as a whole convinces all thenbrowsers to go this route , it will be a big deal, ( sort of like how the government made TV cable companies to go digital For other reasons, such as bandwidth not internet security.

CiciKeymasterHi Dave,
I am not techie savvy but I do remember this question last fall and researching it with one of the forum posters. He was using it with the Pages add-on and some HTML coding. The WP codex changed last summer so customers had to change their page templates. I do not know exactly how you envision using the plugin.
The base Plugin does not allow modification of the queries, unless you hack the javascript (mot advisable) the add-on packs would. I am sorry I cannot answer your question. Perhaps someone in the forum community can help. I can pose the question to the developer when he returns, he is currently on vacation.
CiciKeymasterNo that isn’t what it is saying, Not what I intended to pass along,
The plugin and add-ons will still work fine, I am wondering if it might be an explanation as to why certain versions of Chrome might not ask you for your location even if you have the location sensor enabled. In the ProPAck documentation that the developer wrote years ago, when Location sensor was first introduced, it was explained that some Browsers configuration might not allow location sensor or might not be accurate.
It is just my theory that Chromes latest update has added the twist. Location sensor works even using Chrome on some customer sites and yet not others. My theory is that those sites with https: cert . Again, as Piani mentioned it works using all the other browsers.
I wont know if my theory is correct until I can discuss with the developer, Lance . It is ONLY Chrome version 50 that introduced the secure vs unsecure site and location sensor quandry.
The argument towards having every site go to https because of security threats has been discussed in the worldwide programmer, developer, IT community for a while now. It isn’t just this particular subject.
CiciKeymasterHi Guys,
I am not sure if the info I am sharing below bears any weight as far as the location sensor and Chrome issue. I am going to discuss more with Lance when he gets back. I have been watching this development out of curiosity (I am not a programmer)
i.e. Google , Chrome browser, has been sending warnings out for months and months about “Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user’s experience. For more help, check https://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/.”
I have read in the Developers support forums and apparently they are getting serious and it was reported as a bug back in Nov 2015 in the Chrome project. I came across this issue report about geolocation and not sending if not secure origin. (http as opposed to https) I see that the tacos website is http,,, @ Piani. (I do not recall your client site , is it https or http?)
Most recently (apparently Feb when they went to chrome 50) they changed the geolocation if queried over an “insecure” site instead of position unavailable if over http , they changed it to be consistent to be “permission denied”. Since this effecting some customers and not others, I think that it may be the case .
Update geolocation over HTTP error to use PERMISSION_DENIED When geolocation is used over HTTP, we had been using POSITION_UNAVAILABLE, but it was pointed out that using geolocation over a file:// URL uses PERMISSION_DENIED instead. To be consistent, this updates the HTTP failure to use PERMISSION_DENIED. BUG=561641 Review URL: https://codereview.chromium.org/1642903005
May 16, 2016 at 8:33 PM in reply to: Tried switching plugin style to eliminate map and locations no longer pulling #41052CiciKeymasterHi Meg,
Is your theme responsive ? Or do you mean that it wont appear when using a specific browser or operating system … like iOS. Some poep,e have been reporting issues with Chrome. I have seen a lot of info under the Google Developers forum about the new Chrome upgrade 50 which is going to block or render some sites to not work properly depending on whether it is http or https. Google has been issuing these warnings for quite a while now, that “your not using https: and site deprecated” warning. I am not sure if that is effecting your site, just of note for some people. I am going to discuss further with the develoepr when he returns from vacation.
