CiciKeymaster
Hi Mikki
You csv file looks fine. Could you provide more info? Are you using the remote server upload? Check to make sure the directory file path is still correct (i.e if http vs https)and permissions and security is not blocking it. Nine times out of ten that is the issue. Also what error logs are you seeing if any? Are you providing sufficient time to upload? I notice you have the sl_id which indicates the locations are already in your location management and have been assigned a number by SLP. Are you selecting the Duplicates handling that you want, i.e skip or add. etc.
The documentation gives you more tool tips : See handling the Duplicates and remote server imports and large import lists.
CiciKeymasterPlease see how to utilize language files and where to download the Spanish version under this page.
According to the WP Translation directory of SLP Spanish has not been fully translated but you can easily do so and submit the translation. NOTE: The Translate system will not create a language export for partial translations.
As far as your web site, coming back in a different language, that is different, we are not a translation plug-in. Selecting the maps and languages refer to the Google Maps. Choosing Spain will get the data from the Google Spain server.
CiciKeymasterKrista,
Your WordPress version should be 4.6 or at least 4.4 but I do not know what version Multi site is on. Your PHP environment is also lower than recommended by WordPress (they recommend 5.6)WordPress also works with PHP 5.2.4+ and MySQL 5.0+, but these versions have reached official End Of Life and as such may expose your site to security vulnerabilities. .
Most likely reason you are missing the settings.
When you created a subsite you did not move the SLP options table with the database. See the WordPress Debugging ,Multi site. NAM is Network Active Multi site. See WordPress Multisite codex and how to create the network
I believe your issues are coming from the way you have set-up your subsite. If you need help with setting up and transferring databases with the WP multi site, please contact Cyber Sprocket.com
CiciKeymasterThe more information and details you can provide the better. Not providing the information requested in the Posting Guidelines doesn’t help either of us.
You did not mention you had ProPack installed nor the Multisite. Without all the information we cannot help you, its like playing blind mans bluff. Read the posting guidelines and provide a screenshot of your environment and your site url.Other information that would be useful
1) Was this site/admin handed over to you by someone else?
2) Is the multi site NAM? (And what do you mean you renamed plugins?)
3) Do you have User Managed Locations add-on installed? It sounds like you do not have the permissions you need or the permissions were changed or the roles and capabilities were changed.
Your issues are a lot more than just SLP, and they could be caused by any number of things including moving the site to a new server but not moving ALL the necessary database pieces… like the wp_posts table with the store entries in it. We have a team that does transfer and migrations at Cyber Sprocket labs.
This is outside of my wheel house. I am afraid you will need to request support if you need a developer to login and troubleshoot. There has not been anyone saying that those functions are missing so it is definitely unique to your site..CiciKeymasterHi Jackie, ‘I am confused by your question. Are you using a plugin such as Gravity Form or contact form in addition to Store Locator Plus? Please provide a scenario and what plugins (and versions) you are using. Gravity Forms Location and Gravity Forms integration are a third party add-on if that is what you are attempting to use please post in DeBaats forum.
CiciKeymasterIt is on his radar, but Enhanced Search has nothing to do with Power and you have a unique situation. I do not think that Power is intended to work with legacy add-ons in the way that was described above. Power DOES disable Tagalong and ProPack and if I recall from what Jonathan stated , you were using a combination of tags and categorizes for days of week and times. So you have created some type of hierarchy where there were multiple drop-down choices, by city, by day, by time using tags and categories? I do not know if there are some tricks or special rules that you can write perhaps instead of utilizing the parent /child relationship with the taxonomy hierarchy utilized by categories. I am not sure that Lance will be able to do much if that is the case as it is not a normal use of the way the add-ons work.
CiciKeymasterNo you shouldn’t lose locations if you delete and re-install. but you should always have a back-up of your site. I am still curious why your install is missing those functions
CiciKeymasterUser Managed Locations is a third party add-on. Could you post in DeBaats forums? Thx
CiciKeymasterI will mention it to the developer.
October 31, 2016 at 12:15 PM in reply to: Could not update the custom page for this location. #43835CiciKeymasterSorry, are you not able to add any categories to the existing locations or is it just the check boxes are no longer checked?
If the first scenario: Can you export the existing ones , add the categories that are missing and re-import (especially if you have a lot of them)?
If check boxes are just not checked, afraid you will have to reset those.=
There was a bug with the check boxes on categories under existing locations not saving and that was fixed with the 4.6.1 update, but it wasnt necessarily retroactive especially if you moved database. There was a bug somewhere around 4.5.07 of SLP, I believe. (not sure of the actual version)
CiciKeymasterYou can change the Locator Layout which determines the order of the information (i.e you can have address first and name second line or in the left column instead of right column by copying the line in the layout and moving it to the position you want to see it.
You can use CSS to change styling such as bold, font colors, box lines etc. There is a video on the docs page that will take you to the SLP You Tube channel from there you can view a short tutorial on how to accomplish customized style sheets can be found in the documentation and video.
October 30, 2016 at 11:52 AM in reply to: Could not update the custom page for this location. #43827CiciKeymasterThe developer is planning on having a “close” x location details on the side bar in the next release.
You should have a scroll bar on right before the location details and on the bottom to help you scroll down and to the right.
I’m not sure if that is all you are looking for, that wasn’t how the original post read, it started out asking about tagalong and the needs attention message.
Are you saying you cannot edit locations or you cannot add categories to new locations? What exactly is the issue you are reporting?
Please provide a screenshot of your plugin environment so I am better able to assist you.
CiciKeymasterAre you the site owner and administrator?
Something is not right with your installation. You should see three settings under search. Search Panel settings
Deactivate, delete, and re-install the base Store Locator Plus plug-in.
CiciKeymasterunder Experience/search/search features you should see three settings:
distance unit (that is where you select km)
radii option, (that is where you put in the numerics and you can put parentheses around the one you want as a default)
If you do not see those options in your box, please provide a screenshot of the back-end EXP/search. See documentation
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/adding-radius-selection-first-entry/
Also is your site in English?
CiciKeymasterPost under third Party forum, User Managed Locations is a separate third party add-on. When you post there, follow the posting guidelines, i.e. versions etc. It is best to show a screenshot
CiciKeymasterFrom your WP Plugin try deactivating Power first. You should then see Power update notice. If not , yes you can download it from your SLP account.
CiciKeymasterHi Nathan, thank you for that insight.
Power plug-in replaces Tagalong ProPack , Contact extender , directory builder as well as Pages and does not have a specific relationship with the Enhanced products but a couple of issues may have had an inadvertent effect on your site construct. Jonathan posted the screenshot of plugin environment and at the time you were using SLP 4.6.2. and Power 4.6.1 There was a bug in SLP 4.6.2 and there was also an issue discovered in Power 4.6.1 that had to do with the directory listing by city which was fixed in 4.6.3 , I see that you updated SLP to 4.6.3. We are now on SLP 4.6.4 and Power 4.6.4. Can you update those add-ons and see if that fixes your issue.
If after updating you are still having a problem let me know and I will ask the developer to look at it.
Also as I mentioned to Jonathan, if you have all those enhanced products that are now legacy, you are eligible to get a discount off the Experience add-on which replaces them and which also has a new WIDGETS that includes drop down by city. You may find it useful. You also need to have Experience add-on if you have Power and if you want to use CSS.
If you are interested in doing that send a request to support@storelocatorplus.com.
You can get credit to be applied to either , and/or the Experience Add-on or Premier.
You would be eligible for a deeper discount off the Premier set-up fee since you already have Power and Enhanced products. Premier provides the ability to utilize the Parent /child hierarchy which I could see being useful for what you are trying to accomplish and which gives you all the add-ons as well as Premier forum access.
You might want to look in documentation or under Product description before purchasing
CiciKeymasterYou mentioned you got this with a theme which made me look in that folder on your site. It appears that the theme you currently have is the issue. The theme “brewery” is in conflict with the Store locator Plus plugin and WP, it is using http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.1.js
SLP uses jquery 1.12 as best practices from WP dictates. Even if you rolled back to an earlier version of WP you will have issues. (See MAP BREAKING Post)
This is also mentioned in the SLP Troubleshooting section.
this issue will occur no matter which Mapping/locator plugin you use that is current (as far as I know). You need to talk to the theme author about updating jquery.
Second issue we see is with the theme CSS
We strongly recommend using Firefox with the Firebug plugin to track down any problems with the CSS or JavaScript on your site. 90% of the problems with the map not appearing are due to either bad JavaScript prior to the Store Locator code being called, or themes that overtake all image output. The map is very image heavy using hundreds of small images from Google’s server to draw the map. If your theme does not play well with images it can override the settings we’ve built into the plugin.
If you use the debugger or even just inspect using any Browser tool (right click and hit inspect and look under console) you have Failures on your site loading resources (images). i.e.
. Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

If you fix these issues you should be back in business,
CiciKeymasterHi Chris,
I believe Lance answered in the email reply to you. For others who may be reading this post to paraphrase “You cannot use PHP code in the layouts. WordPress shortcode processing does not work that way.
WPML is supposed to be reading the database options that are registered via their string translator. We’ve been trying to get that working with WPML for over a year now. It was working before their 3.X update and now they cannot tell us why it has stopped working……..(they do not have an answer)……Full WPML support has been on our list (again) for a while now but it is a big undertaking given the extensive changes to the WPML infrastructure that they implemented last year.CiciKeymasterThanks for letting us know. I will close this post now.
CiciKeymasterHaven’t heard of this issue. What is customized? What has changed? Did you just update a version of one of your plugins? If you go through and deactivate each plugin . For instance try shutting off Gravity Forms locations and the gravity forms add-on, first (see how to debug under troubleshooting)
Last guess:
Are you using the iframe method to embed a static map? Using an iframe requires that you sign up for an API key via Google Developer Console. You must turn on the Google Maps Embed API and then fetch your credentials so you can paste your API key into the URL string for the iframe source.
CiciKeymasterHi Hannah,
It is difficult to answer you without knowing your plugin environment. But ; what SLP style are you using and have you tried changing it? That is the easy fix. You can choose from over 30 of the SLP styles (see documentation) .
If you do not like the way the results or search form or map appears you can change the layout with the Experience Add-on. Ditto if you need to use CSS.
Your THEME , especially one that is customized , takes precedence and establishes the basic rules and style sheets over the whole look of your site (including your locations map page) and any built in layouts that SLP provides as part of its styles suite can be over ridden. So if you cannot find the SLP plugin style under your Experience/View tab (we have many, many to select from) to best match your theme look, then you may need to use some CSS magic to override your theme. You can watch a tutorial on how to create CSS if you haven’t done it before.
If you do want to use CSS or if it isn’t as a result of a theme then you need the Experience Add-on.
CiciKeymasterFor option 2, Assigning a different marker for each location requires Experience Add-0n. The experience add-on also allows you to customize the map, the search layout, the results layout, rank results etc.
CiciKeymasterYou can do that with the Experience Add-on, using the New Widgets functionality . Read the Product description to see all the features. the docs site for how to use the Search Widget
