I would look at the difference in  formatting, if as you said many loaded and some didn’t. If that is the difference then a space could throw it off but it shouldn’t unless you hit a hard enter when creating the spreadsheet.  Nothing should “move” address 2 into the address 1 column , so that indicates that perhaps there was a configuration issue in your original spreadsheet.

The only  other information I can offer, if you were merely updating and followed the Duplicate import handling instructions, did you double check to see that the store ID was correct?

Oh, Well the refund was to Patricia Stoll, that is who paid for the Power add-on. I cc’ed you, or at least the email account associated with this account,  on my reply to Dewey in email.

In the  emails  ( a few emails to see how things were going)  sent to Dewey ( I thought he was the technical person) stated that whomever was the tech poc could also request access to Slack.   when you originally posted in this forum I did not make the connection between the two of you. That is why we always ask for Plugin information in our posting guidelines. It can be very confusing when we have multi parties asking about same account/site.  This happens on a regular basis. It is good that you bought the Premier under the company account. We see developers leave a project after charging their customers and then the customer lodges a complaint to us when they do not receive updates.   Often we have no knowledge of the company  the purchase was made for as developers keep it private and do not always share such  information. We of course can only credit or create an account for the owner of the add-ons.

Hi Christian.  We did issue the refund for the power add-on. Per Dewey’s request the refund was issued under the account it was purchased under.   Please email via  Contact us so we can get everyone on the same page.  The Experience add-on needs to be downloaded from your account and added to your Plugins.  Please refer to the Upgrading account and add-ons in documentation

You must have the Experience add-on activated to see the hide checkbox as shown in my screenshot.  We do not auto add them in your plugins because not everyone wants both Power and experience , they are available for you to add to your site.  All of my answers to you  in this forum assumed you had the Experience add-on.  The Experience add-on will deactivate any Enhanced legacy add-ons. The match to what add-ons are replaced can be seen here in documentation

We aren’t suggesting that you cant  work on a live site, we are suggesting that before deploying any major changes, such as adding new plugins, that you have a back-up.  We ask everyone to make sure they have back-ups of their site in the event their is a conflict with our plugins and your site configuration.  I will send Dewey an email asking him to coordinate with you about the refund and I will cc you on the email if I have your contact info.

Your time is valuable, we understand totally, but if you could have provided your plugin environment in the first post, I would have been able to tell you that you were missing the Experience add-on which is needed. The developer looked at your site  using the Browser developer tools and informed me that you did not have the Experience add-on. He stopped working on a project to take a look at your site.  We want you to have all the tools available to you.

So you  have the POWER addon correct?   Assume you do since you are importing.

If only some of the locations are messed up then there is something awry with your file.

If you deleted all the locations  and they no longer have an id then if you  import fresh without the id column. my import worked  correctly so something in those rows that did not update correctly is askew on your file is my guess.  If you are still having problems  after reviewing the docs, under imports you can send your file to the contact us.

Could you provide your Plugin environment, what versions and add-ons are you using?

Also, just to make sure, your WP admin is  English correct?

I just want to make sure first that you are using current versions of SLP and Power. Could you provide that info as well. (see posting guidelines)

As far as the screenshots with the spreadsheet, I see you have a column with header id…Are you updating an existing location , store that is already in your database and that has been assigned an sl_id? ?  In other words, was that store id exported from your current locations and did you check it against the store id column in your locations admin panel, it has to be an exact match. using the duplicate handling feature

    Hi Boyd,

Versions of the SLP, WP, Power add-ons?

Are you using the CSV format as shown here in our documentation? Field names

Can you show an example or  snippet of the file you are importing?

Are you looking at back end and seeing a location does not have both address lines or are you saying the results on the front end?

(see attached, I just imported the csv file adding a second address, I then checked back end locations it was there, I just checked front end under results and it was also there, my test : Positive results, worked as expected)

I did not change my results layout so I should change the results layout to put address 2 on separate line but other then that it shows up correctly, imported correctly anon both back and front end

Do you have address 2 checked off under screen options?

    (see screenshot)

If you include the site url that the results page returns I can look at it there as well.

Oh, Ok, I misunderstood you.  Thanks for the feedback. The docs site has become pretty large, might be time to delete or hide some old [osts that are not applicable.   If you would like to join the Slack channel where the developer is available when he is not in coding , send an email to contact us.  You will see the latest beta releases and things he is working on.

We are a little concerned that you mention working on a live site? Are you not using a daily back up of site?

You can purchase a $20/month  web host like WP Engine that does automatic staging sites.

If you have more than just a blog site, we always recommend utilizing the plans available.  Backing up your site. It is crucial especially with all the updates with WP and plugins.  See the authors advice on the options here.

That would require you to have extensive knowledge of Javascript and write your own WP plugin to load up that new JS module to send the SLP query data to Google in the right format.  It is not something included in SLP.

Are you working in a dev site btw?

you cannot embed WP widgets in custom HTML loading from other sites.   The proper way to do that is to write your own custom widget to include the HTML you need from third party (non-WordPress) services or fix your custom footer so it can display both traditional WordPress widgets AND third-party assets.

There is pass url parameter control  (Premier  feature) but it does not sound like that is the functionality you are looking for.  I’m confused by your question.

Looking at your site, You might want to add a label in the search box to provide directions. i.e. If they select ALL countries the Google algorithm will come back with anything with a number in it, you have address / zip. Goolge does not know if you want the address which includes house numbers, streets, or a zip code. If your Center map is in the US, and they do not use drop down to select a specific country then Google is going to assume you want to return any results with any number in it.

You also have errrors on your site that is confounding Google API.  The one that says Sensor not required…that is not coming from SLP. That indicates you have another plugin that is using Google Maps APIs.  You can see that Google is telling you that you have included Google Map API multiple times and also that you dont have Google MAP API. If you updated your site and have some old plugins or a theme that is using Goolge map functions we cannot guarantee your results are going to be accurate.

See below error messages, you can also see them by using your developer tools in any browser.

If after reading the documentation you are still having issues send an email with all the pertinent information including your site url, page where you are using the SLP plugin , also versions of  your plugin and add-on ,  php, etc. (As mentioned in the posting guidelines we really work best when we can see your plugin environment and your domain. )

I am beginning to lose site of what you are trying to accomplish on your site.  I cannot look at your settings to guide you   since you have not shared your site url.

If you have the search by zip and the drop down to select country ,   the SLP discrete search by country provides overrides to the the Google “search everywhere” .  Your settings under search determines  this.   It doesn’t matter which country domain is set.

Perhaps this explanation under documentation is clearer .

Do you have the Search settings to search address nearest as :Worldwide”,   the default search, letting Google make the best guess which address the user wants? . Current Map will find the best matching address nearest the current area shown on the map.  There is no zip code 3074 in the US. If you want Country Influences Guesses, that is part of Premier.

When checked , the selected Map Domain to influence how Google guesses what the user meant when entering a search address.

It sounds like you are trying to use the country drop down but then override it with zip code. (is that what you are looking for?) That is not how it works. If you want to use country dropdown and zip code they must match up.

Please refer to the documentation to see how all these settings interact with each other.

What theme are you using?  WP themes allow Widgets to be used anywhere , usually a sidebar but also a footer etc.

That is beyond the scope of the plug-in since we do not have GPS built into the software, per se. It is dependent on the browser or device (i.e. mobile phone) using location sensor which is not part of the base plug-in.  Location sensor, i.e , GPS is based on the device being used to do the search .  That is how Google does it as well. Location sensor helps users find closest to them using  GPS is a basic Google algorithm. SLP is not using GPS to calculate distance, it uses radius.

Please provide your plug-in environment when posting in the forums so we can see what versions, what add-ons etc.

See the Location Sensor article written by the developer for information

Since you did not provide the site url page you are having issues with, then please check the  radius behavior settings.  Do you have locations all over the world or just one country?  If you have locations a thousand miles apart have you set your radius to a large enough settings under Results settings?  What does your drop down radius show? It will show results x amount of miles from your Center map at. So If your center map is US and your radius behavior or the dropdown for miles radius is 50, the results that will come back will be 50 miles from the center map

You should set the Search behavior settings as well. The information as to what each setting does is on the sidebar in your SLP admin..Next to Search behavior for instance “.Should the address input be disabled when city, state, or country selectors are used? Allow means address and city/state/zip selectors are both left active at all times. disable means users can interact with either the city/state/zip OR the address but not both at same time.

Because Google doesn’t necessarily know which country certain zip codes are (for instance 3004 is used as a zip /postal code in multiple countries in the world) the SLP  pre-fills the country in text  with whichever country is selected in the drop down, user can then type in the zip code. You can use the CSS Layout to change the order of the search form if it will help direct your customer

I have tested this on my site. I have locations in many countries on my test site and the search and results come back with correct country when Search behavior selector and radius is used correctly.

As a side note: You may also opt to use the SLP Widget for users to navigate to your specific locations by Province, city, etc.  but that does not sound like something you would want.

Could you provide us with more information (See the guidelines for posting in forums )  We need your versions etc.  Also do you have a Google MAP API, is your site https etc?  The site url helps.  Google Maps API made some recent changes requiring everyone to now have a MAP API.

Hi Jay, what exactly are you trying to do?  If you are trying to add something to the results layout, that will effect  what is displayed on the  front end. Or are you looking for info regarding   extended data manager

You shouldn’t be editing the code itself .  You should use CSS, see docs.

P.S. When posting in forums could you provide the information  requested in Looking for technical support.
