    Hi Cici

I am coming back to you, since the subcategory approach did not work out.

    Here our system:
    + WordPress 5.8.2
    + SLP Core 5.12
    + Experience 5.11
    + Power 5.11
    + Premier 5.12

    Here our use case:
Our customer uses SLP for gas stations. So far we had one dropdown for all the different fuel types.
Now, this needs to be extended for EVs. So we gonna need to setup one dropdown for
    1. EV
    2. gas powered
and another dropdown appearing only if no2 (gas powered) is selected in the first dropdown. The fuel type would be selectable in this 2nd one.

We are completely flexible how we implement this, we can even alter the data type  of the properties (tags / subs), since the datapoints have to be revised anyway.

So much for the direction we have to go to.

We played around with subcategories and different settings, but so far we havent achieved too much. We had one dropdown for all options, or checkboxes, and both wasnt really useable for this use case. What would you recommend?
We would love to find a solution incorporating your advise instead of just adding some javascript.

    Thanks, BR
    Jay

    Hi,

our active plugin versions are the following:

    Store Locator Plus®: 5.12.3
    Experience: 5.11
    Power: 5.11

At the moment we don’t have an active Premier plugin on the site.

We are using both categories and tags, the first dropdown “Art” being categories and the second “Leistungen” being tags.

What we would like to do is only display the tag dropdown if a certain category (or a certain parent category) is selected.

I hope this explains better what we’re looking for.

    Hi Cici,

somehow I don’t have the option to turn on address suggestions on the page. The only feature available is the address autocomplete which only offers zip code. As the zip code is the issue, I was looking for an option that would suggest the city as well. (Screenshot of my options attached, Plugin environment posted in the topic mentioned in the first post)

Do you know of any way to approach Google with this issue as a customer or opening a support ticket like this one to get a solution to these issues?

Or is our only option here a MySLP plan for better results? Is there a specific plan we would need in order to include the locations of Austria or are the chosen amount of locations chosen randomly for the country/countries we need?

Our customer is very unhappy with the inaccuracy, so I’m trying to figure out which options / solutions I can present to them, if any at all.

    Thanks!

    Hi Cici,

I’ve submitted the form with the information.

The multiple API issue isn’t resolved, no. I was referring to the old topic for that one, sorry for the confusion. It might be what’s crashing the JS in the first place but it seems to be coming from the SLP plugin itself as we haven’t made any changes and already deactivated all other plugins.

I’ve included a screenshot of the Location settings page where the console errors occur with and without the console.

Thanks for the info on the individual map markers!

    Hi Cici

No worries, let me visualize for you: https://pasteboard.co/IAixLY8.png

As you can see we gonna have three different attributes we need to use for filtering. Atm we would like to have those dropdowns linked so option1 will influence what is shown in option2 and this selection again will influence whats selectable in the option3 dropdown.

    Thanks Cici.

Now I understand better what single parent means.

I guess we might need at least two if not three dropdowns and the second/thirds dropdown options are dependent on the other selections.
I was assuming this is the cascading option?
If yes how we need to configure this? Atm we just have one dropdown independent to what I select as the category selector.

    Thanks, BR Jay

    Hello Cici,

thanks for all the information! Unfortunately it’s not really solving any of the issues we’re encountering.

    1) My goal is to make the search address field a required form field. Visitors should not be able to search at all unless something has been written into the field.
Instead, if the field has no input, there should be some kind of message along the lines of “please fill in this field to continue” as is custom for required form fields.

    2) If I understood this correctly, the number of results to show after search can only be changed in settings/results? And therefore all pages with SLP will show the same number of results, determined by these settings?

Sorry for the inconvenience. O365 is our mail provider, maybe the block large attachments right at the beginning. Will send you some options for workaround via mail.

The domain was already set to Austria, so that didnt help. 🙂
Is there another method, you mentioned two, but listed just one of them?

I am happy to help since whats good for your customers is good for my customers.
We have test sites where I could test beta versions.

Can you please check with “Map Style – Light As Air”? This is the style I am using. I didnt change most of the standard settings.

..as mentioned we cannot log into your account..

No Problem. I just need to know which styles your plugin needs to get this working – I am assuming a styling issue. Your developer will know.

    Hi Cici

Alright, all done, but still the same problem.
I ve added screens showing the new status. The greenish logo is the image which I would love to have on top of the map.
