CiciKeymaster
Hi Bryan, Are you all set now? I think the naming and files have been fixed now
CiciKeymasterif you have the Experience add-on, do same thing you did with Propack, deactivate EXP, download the latest version from your account and upload it into your WP admin panels. It follows the same logic as the others.
CiciKeymasterthat can be done with Experience , you can change layout, delete lines and code in layouts or change appearance, please see the documentation site.
CiciKeymasterHi Barbara,
No the multiple Google MAP API keys are not from having SLP maps on two different pages, you just use shortcodes to have SLP different maps, you can have a map on as many as you want. They DO however draw from the same data, and I assume you are using Tagalong to categorize which ones appear on which page using the only_with_shortcodes
I have five pages on my test sites with different shortcodes.
If you have another plugin or Theme that has a google api built in then you will see the error.
As far as updating. See the how to here. First deactivate the add-ons. update SLP, Anything above SLP 4.5.08 requires PROPACK and TAGALONG to be updated. So first deactivate those two. I personally think you would be better off converting those two add-ons to Power anyway. Power and Experience and Premier are the only add-ons that will be updated going forward. And may I suggest, Premier is by far the best value for you , it provides additional exclusive features and will help your user experiences ten fold. Check out some of the YouTube videos about Lances latest development and features he added to premier 4.7
Plus you can use it on multiple sites, and have access to premier support forum which is answered first. It will minimize the plugins you have to deal with, less worries about all the updates, efficiency of scale…and actually if you opt for Premier I can offer you a larger discount because you already have Exp. Add-on , ProPack, and Tagalong. Premier will provide functions and features that I bet you currently are using other plugins to do.
See the FAQ sheet about the tit for tat on the legacy versus current add-ons etc if you are interested in either Power or Premier, discount coupons send a request support@storelocatorplus.com.
If you do not go that route, go to your account and download latest versions, (you will not see the version# for ProPack nor Tagalong because they are legacy,) update SLP first, delete the old versions of the add-ons and then upload the new versions see what versions we are on here.
If you need help with your overall WordPress site, including theme, send email request to support@storelocatroplus.com and Lance and his affiliate can review to see if you would benefit from help from the CyberSprocket development team.
CiciKeymasterThat is an exclusive feature for Premier subscribers.

Your Store Locator Plus and add-on versions are woefully outdated, that is an easy fix unless you do not wish to update those legacy add-ons and thats the reason you haven’t updated SLP
Plus with those Legacy add-ons you qualify for a discount coupon towards Power, Experience, and/or Premier. If you would like to upgrade send an email request with order numbers or the account name to support@storelocatorplus.com
Always make sure you have a full back up of your site before updating any add-pns or WP. We suggest Vault press.
Eventually the legacy add-ons will not work with later versions of SLP and possibly WP. Since you have updated WP to 4.7 you shouldn’t have any immediate issues. The aforementioned add-ons use WP 4.4 and above.

CiciKeymasterI have checked my site and I also have an Australia Search Map url…it is also acting up if I do not use the append feature with the Experience add-on.
My guess is , Google changed their map.domain search engine user interface back to default as international. Not the first time they have done it, I have notified the author to see if there is a work around besides Append. Google changes their algorithms on a regular basis as far as matching zip codes. Apparently;y they think that Budapest and Denmark are searched more often and if they have re set to international domain engine they will send you there.
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/search-panel-settings/
CiciKeymasterFirst: Please follow the posting guidelines, need more info, such as your plugin environment, versions, not just your web site. I believe you about your search but there have been no changes to the STORE Locator Plus that would suddenly redirect your search,. The query is going to Google maps. There are some built in help tools, such as choosing the map domain if all your locales are in Australia for instance.
Second: What is your call back set at, are you using the Experience add-on to append or to use discrete search
Third: : right off the bat, just by inspecting your console you have these failures and those are not store locator plus . Other plugins can create issues with the map. My guess is you no longer have those easy font icons widget or it is out dated, or the file path is incorrect.

CiciKeymasterGoogle Map API multiple times warning is a concern. UI am not sure how that got there, but if you have part of your theme or another plugin also utilizing Google Map queries, there will be a conflict. I am guessing that may be the case , Also check to see if you have Forceload javascript on, that is another big no no…it is only there because back in the day the SLP author added that ooption to compensate for some poorly written WP theme that a customer was using.
ALL of your add-ons and SLP are out of date and need to be updates, along with WP itself. Should be 4.6 if you do not want to update yet to WP 4.7, I am waiting myself before updating WP to 4.7 looks like they had a glitch somewhere but I havent investigated.
CiciKeymasterPlease provide versions of what you have (Posting guidelines). You are NOT using the latest versions of Store Locator Plus Nor the latest versions of Experience Add-on. I cant tell what versions of ProPack you are using nor Taglong just by looking at your site see versions here
UPDATE your versions first , if you still have an issue see Troubleshooting.
Nine times out of ten it will be another plugin or theme, in your case the error message and failure comes back “you are using Multiple Google Map API”. If updating doesn’t fix your issue then you need to use the debugging tool to see what is causing the conflict.
This is what I saw with a brief look at the first link in the Chrome browser, right click inspect and under Console your failed messages are there. As far as the icon , it is pulling from the wrong directory path. Again, Update. You can save any special icons in your WP media file and link to that if you need to

December 9, 2016 at 7:21 PM in reply to: Format for Posting Categories through bulk CSV Import #44316CiciKeymasterKaitlyn,
When you say you have Tagalong and Power plugins….Power disables Tagalong as the functionality that was in the Tagalong legacy has been revamped and part of Power.
First, you are confusing Tags with categories.
they aren’t the same thing Here is the explanation in the documentation site TAGS VS CATEGORIES.
Formats: examples CSV
If you have multiple categories for one location , in your excel file separate with a comma.
You would just have in the header row the word Category or Categories.
You can have both tags and categories assigned to each location juts be aware they are different. Tags is just text, no parent child heirarchy.
December 9, 2016 at 6:22 PM in reply to: 500 server error after updating Store Locator plugin #44313CiciKeymasterGlad I could help . If you like Store Locator Plus and/or the support you have received, please leave a ★★★★★ rating on WordPress.org. If you do not feel it warrants a 5 star (or a 4 star) , please contact us via support@storelocatorplus.com and let us know how we can improve. A huge thank you from Lance and his fellow code geeks and his one little ol part time support person…ME!
CiciKeymasterUser Managed Locations is a third Party add-on that might hep you out. Please review the Product description (and docs) and if you have any questions for DeBaat please post in Third Party Add-ons Forum
CiciKeymasterEric,
Ask Google why they make the two API keys and the inability ti use referrer restrictions….this is an issue for the Google Developer console, and plenty of people have complained to Google about it.
CiciKeymasterYou are correct you are getting the old version if you are downloading it from :the Page My Account and the menu on that page that shows your orders and downloads ..that download when you go to unzip it is slp-social ,,,that is wrong file name, that is the old version
Since you are premier you have an alternative method to get downloads. when you are in your account scroll across top bar to “PRODUCTS”
UNDER PRODUCTS you will see DOWNLOADS. In there you will see all the products and the versions numbers production up toip and pre release down bottom, download the SLP-SME 4.5.02 from there,
When you go to your computer folder for downloads, add in the zip file that is called slp-sme… UPLOAD that one, that is 4.5.02
NOT slp-social
Lance is fixing the naming convention, somehow it was changed two updates ago
CiciKeymasterHey Bryan , You unveiled something that had me puzzling. I am addressing it to the developer(s) both DeBaat and Lance, it is the file naming convention changed. I will email you the correct file if you can send me an email to support@storelocatorplus.com in the mean time whilst they fix it
December 5, 2016 at 5:20 PM in reply to: 500 server error after updating Store Locator plugin #44276CiciKeymasterAccording to the error messages it is the icons set, they were not paid add-ons. They were as a free product in 2013.
and discontinued and there are no updates. As you see they are version 0.2 but,
any special icons should be saved in your/their WP media file directory path and then can be uploaded from the WP media directory
Make sure the file path is correct.
CiciKeymasterWhich colors of what are you trying to change? Fonts? Map? Plugin style? The Plugin style can be changed with the Experience Add-on
If you have Experience Add-on you can also add JSON or use Snazzy Maps, there are various color schemes in Plugin Styles and you can change Locator Layouts and add css with Experience add-on.
Other ideas of what you can do with various add-ons
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/category/faq/
There is a You Tube video on CSS , see the docs sites for links and info about css and the you tune channel
CiciKeymasterMitch are you using other than English files?
Advanced Layouts and option tables
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/custom-css/
I’m not experiencing the issues, and my CSS has not changed , but I am not doing anything massive either..
WP did change something , I know that Lance had to go back in and change something on our site, either due to a WooCommerce , WordPress or JetPack update I saw this in the support about JetPack and WP changes effecting CSS
https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/38672
I will mention this to him though.
Pianni,
You know about the slugs vs text that are changing to be compatible with the language issues? I wasnt sure if you were not using Power because of languages or didn’t need it. Lance shot a video here.
CiciKeymasterThere are various plugin styles, Beside the Point is one that keeps the map stationary , try different plugin styles with themes .
CiciKeymasterOkey dokey,
If you need help, with the theme or they wont or cant fix it send an email to support, or check out Cybersprocket labs to see what they would charge you to fix and make your site look awesome again
CiciKeymasterHi Adrian,
Check your settings. Under Search, Search Address Nearest, current map or Wordlwode.
Radius behavior, do you have it set to Alwsys use, only use after search or do not use?
Do you have a Discrete search filter besides append, A drop down search by City for instance?
A screen shot of your plugin environment and some of the settings on your back end would be helpful.
Here is some more info on your Functionality to limit results (Such as what is your initial search radius. make it smaller perhaps, number to show initially, do you want to disable the initial directory or show all results at start up ) Are you adding the instructions under results label to enter an address or city for best results etc.
Is your map using a google domain to search from, etc etc.
There are a lot of variables and you may need to go back and read either from the settings in the User Interface in the back end, each line has info tab and links to the docs site.

CiciKeymasterHi Gunnar,
Do not geocode (skip geocoding) when importing is an option and can actually help you to NOT go over your Google Query limit. Pianni and Shad are both correct under Locations/Manage/Bulk actions you can select to geocode all uncoded or select.
I am more curious as to why they didn’t geocode, unless you had skip geocoding checked when you imported. I see in your screenshot you did not have any States (bundesland) filled in just cities( stadts) I want to make sure you are following the import docs so that you don’t have any issues going forward.
If you did not have “Skip geocoding” turned on it is possible that Google did not have enough information to geocode properly . or that your CSV file did not import correctly, Did you have any States in your csv file? You must have the header rows with the newer versions. See additional info on Importing large lists
Geocodes and inactive geocodes
P.S. You do not need a Google Map API key if this is not a new site. If the site was moved to a new domain or IP address then Google WOULD require you to have a key. Google query limits will apply in either case, see above Google geocoding errors and links for more info on docs site
If this info has not helped you please let me know and at that time if you could provide the site url where the storelocatorplus plugin is loaded, I could take a look , but at this time I do not see any Store Locator Plus plugins loaded under harolds bags. but if you appreciate my support, want me to keep looking, and want to send me one of those bags instead of the site url I would love that. 🙂
CiciKeymasterAs far as Experience tab in the toolbar under the SLP admin ui
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/q-what-is-meant-by-experience-in-the-user-interface/
As far as what is in the locator layout.
Each Plugin Style has different settings. That is why we suggest people use the theme and plugin style that correlate with each other. That Plugin Style you are referring to was specifically designed for NYLOBOARD years ago as part of a large customization project. It may not have been the best plugin style for what you wanted to do,
When a customization project comes to fruition over the years, the specific stylings and layout have been added as plugin style options.
Since you now see where your category class is coming from you can change it . As far as the Tagalong Legend it is included in your style , other styles you have to add the tagalong legend shortcode.
The Tagalong legend is derived whatever markers you added to identify those categories, See docs about that as well
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/store-and-category-manager/
it is virtually impossible for me to change all my settings to try and match your since I have different WP themes, different settings
There are documentation links in the back end on the right side, the world. You have to go to the docs site.
The docs site is easily searchable by product, by keyword, by questions , by tags and also there is a menu
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/?s=power
The add-ons especially Power is for the Advanced users. It is assumed probably wrongly assumed that anyone using Taxonomies and Power has more than a rudimentary understanding of WordPress, Html, js, and css.
Please research the docs site, also there is still some content on the Old DOCS site, the screenshots and reference will not necessarily make sense, but perhaps you need extra help and need to request a paid support from Cybersprocket labs.
We do not portend to have an entire website specifically fine tuned for each industry with the use of a couple of add-ons for the general public. Most customization projects range anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000
