CiciKeymaster
The issue is also theme interplay with the plugin style and people have different WordPress themes so they may need to add the important designation. Quite often a theme takes precedence. My WordPress theme is out of the box generic so I do not usually need to add the !
There are new plugin styling options under development for Premier customers only. Lance has been expanding and improving the plugin styles and one click changes for active premier customers and it will be ready for release shortly. Currently there are so many variations that it can be confusing. Often the SLP plugin styles were developed and were customized for specific paid customization. which the developer then adds as an option for others.
P.S I was trying to get an answer to you quickly over the weekend , we do not normally work support questions over weekends or holidays, so the quickest way was to give you the links rather then writing out code when I do not have that particular plug in style nor your theme as part of my site.
Thanks for sharing

Map info bubble is determined by Google. If you wish to contact the support contact form customization quote to see what the developer can do, please use the contact form under

CiciKeymasterIf you updated from legacy add-ons previously from your SLP, the initial distance methodology has changed so if youve changed your center map at it is remembering old settings..
Take these steps
Try changing your center map at to a new address (any random address in PA).
2) Go to Locations / Manage and check that the Initial Distance column seems somewhat sane (10 miles not 600 miles). If NOT , please let us know. Especially if you have the latest version of SLP 4.7.2 and all your legacy add ons deactivated and deleted and new add-ons are updated.
3) Fix your center map address to what you really want.
4) If you want to be sure it works, re-investigate the Locations / Manage and see that initial distance is still sane.
5) Check your map.
CiciKeymasterUpdate Store Locator Plus to 4.7.2. And then delete and update Experience to 4.7.1
January 18, 2017 at 2:39 PM in reply to: Show details of store in sl_leftcol when marker on map is clicked. #44708CiciKeymasterAre you asking if the result can open in left hand side of the map oir are you referring to the Map info bubble?
Map info bubble is dictated by Google.
Is that your site url you are referencing? What is your plugin environment?
(See posting guidelines for info we need if you are a current customer)
There are help tools and functionality for layout appearance etc, such as results interactions and map marker tool kit with Add-ons or the Premier subscription, but I need more info before I can advise you.
CiciKeymasterNo that is not the current functionality. You are asking for a triple play here, that would involve a lot of customization to create the relationships and then also add the Parent child and category.
I will mention this post to the developer, but if you could send an email to support with details , if it requires a customization quote from the developer he will be tagged.
CiciKeymasterHi Dennis,
I split this post. Please always start a new post and provide your Plugin Environment each time since your posts are weeks apart, and have three or four different subjects it is difficult to follow. There have been updates since your previous posts as well.
1) new topic about Languages. That is a WPML subject matter.
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/countries-and-languages/
2) For status of translation using the Translations in WP
https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/store-locator-le/stable
We do not translate the core plugin, that is all done through WordPress. What you are looking for is a multi site language plugin.
CiciKeymasterPlease update to the latest versions of the add-ons and SLP and Premier.
Once you have updated please check back with us.
CiciKeymasterIf life were just that simple. Moving tables and data over to a new domain requires advanced knowledge of how WordPress works.
See the steps that are needed under the FAQ in Documentation
CiciKeymasterTo change any of the results layout requires the Experience add-on.
CiciKeymasterFound this older post by the author, Lance Cleveland, the SLP theme naughty list, and other posts from long ago when he was revamping the plugin over 4 years ago.
https://wp.storelocatorplus.com/themeforest-and-texturizing-shortcodes/
I looked at the Bodega theme site and under the Custom Shortcodes, they have Google Map as part of their core . It is a very limited map tool, but it explains why you had a conflict and required the override , i.e checking turn off SLP Map as you mentioned . There are so many themes and configurations out there. That is why we ask people to please let us know what themes work well with Store Locator Plus. Lance is developing a new Premier theme and additional one click styling. Stay tuned for a post about it soon.
Good luck on your sites.
CiciKeymasterTo better assist you please provide your plugin environment information and other info requested in the Posting guidelines
There are documentation links and info in your User interface that explains import, manage locations etc.
here are some links to assist you in the meantime.
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/csv-import-duplicates-handling/
CiciKeymasterIt is most likely your theme (or another plugin) causing interference. See other posted questions and answers in the forum about similar issues. They have all discovered it is their theme. I checked your site and it is not using the latest SLP version 4.7.2
I cannot debug or test a test site. I see a lot of syntax and reference errors, so its useless for me to try and debug a testing url. You can use the WP debugger to find where the conflict is and send the debug log to us if you need help with it. If you need Lance to login and troubleshoot you will need to use the Paid support option.
P.S.
Do you have Forceload Javascript checked as on?
CiciKeymasterKyle, You have some major javascript and load issues on your site if you are black eagle.
Outdated jquery. etc. Are you using Pages as well?
Something is blocking various elements of SLP, you may need to try turning things off and on but it looks like you have some special things written into your theme Css that is outdated and not within the WP Codex best practices.
CiciKeymasterUmm, Yeah, what “Kyle” said.
CiciKeymasterP.S. I am confused, did you change domains or your site? When you say it never worked that creates some concern that you have an issue with your entire site or your site configuration or do you have a multi site? OLD ProPack isnt going to work better than Power, and if you have a conflict , then it is a universal conflict with something else, perhaps another plugin or the server configuration…and you need to be troubleshooting. I would suggest you try the Troubleshooting or send a request to have the developer Log in , that is a paid support option though, so if you are adept at WordPress and javascript or debugging try the WP debugger first.
Its difficult to advise you if you do not provide your site url. Are using multisite NAM?
CiciKeymasterNeed your Plugin info, a screenshot of the Tab under SLP Info/Plugin environment shows us your version of WP as well. Can you provide the URL?
Are you trying to “duplicate and update” or just delete all? I sent you an email with screen shot do you have that Bulk, Delete, the APPLY TO ALL button?
You do not need Janitor for this. How many locations are being shown on the back end ADMNI panel locations page? 10, 50, 10,ooo? If the page is too big you can reset manage locations under General/Admin/Locations/reset manage
As far as Duplicate imports, it works for me, are you using Skip , or update?
Do you have PAGES turned on or off?
If you are importing and want to use the duplicate feature to update existing locations, do you have the sl_id column?\
Until I hear back, here is some docs info for you.
CiciKeymasterLOL
CiciKeymasterAdrienne Thank you for the update. Your theme developer added the Google MAP API requirement in his code or they always had it and your user was changing the way it was used? Everyone wants to make their product the best. Unfortunately we cannot strip down SLP so that it is no longer a MAP and LOCATOR plugin that would mean it is not what it is advertised to be. SLP has ALWAYS used javascript and Google API. Google never required an individual site API key before , and any domains already in existence prior to June 22 2016 were grandfathered and not required to get a Google Map API key. Regradless if you had two plugins or a theme and a plugin both using the Google API there would be a conflict , now Google is making it obvious , i.e by showing you the ERROR MESSAGES. The SLP author and developer knew that Google was heading in the direction of requiring MAP API keys and added in the line where you added your Google MAP API key. We keep up to date with any changes to Google geocoding, MAPs, APis jquery , WP codex and requirements because its the business we are in. He has been doing this for many years and is not a fly by night, Many plugins become orphans.
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/q-my-map-is-not-showing-up-what-did-i-do-wrong/
Your theme developer is not in the geocoding and locator business primarily are they? Either way, pointing fingers is futile. We did NOT change the Google MAP API key or how the jquery worked. Since you are keeping that theme there is not much of an alternative regarding SLP or any other locator /map plugin that uses google MAP API. We always suggest that any site, (especially one with clients), have back-ups and/or a virtual site to test on before updating themes or plugins. That way you can see what changes will happen and roll back if needed.
Now we are off subject of this post and I will need to close it.
P.S. If you have multiple clients using SLP, you are required to have the Premier Subscription.
CiciKeymasterAdrienne, I hope that means you are NOT recommending their theme to be used with SLP. The multiple GOOGLE MAP API errors come directly from Google developer console , not SLP. If our plugin was generating those error messages (after all it is a geocoding map locator plugin) we would be receiving thousands of emails and complaints. I believe we addressed this in forum posts, but it is good to know that the Bodega theme has issues. Perhaps there are other plugins that are creating interference. To test it out, if you have a developer or staging site, or virtual site, try an out of the box theme download from WordPress and add SLP . I will guarantee you will not see multiple Google MAP API or grey map issues. Thanks.
CiciKeymasterYou need to loOk at any other plugins, for instance we have heard reports that the CONTACT FORM 7 added Google MAP API
Your first reference of Client
http://ritmullerusa.com/locations/
that isn’t their ENTIRE plugin environment. They have the POWER add-on with CSS rules. (This is why we ask for a screen shot of the plugin environment not merely a typed in answer. ) So make sure they have latest versions of the plugins and the ADD-ONS. So I am guessing if they own both sites that they also have Power on the other one as well.
They are using a lot of CSS rules and plugins that also are querying Google MAPS API. They can try “turning off SLP Maps” and only use the theme map
Use Firefox to debug and check for errors, instructions are in the Troubleshooting , under Map issues. Please post the results from the Debugging log here . Alternatively , if we (the developer here) troubleshoots and logs into their site that is a paid support option, but since they have paid you perhaps you can do the debugging and take it from there)
If there them has a place for Google Map API that means they use it whether or not you have entered the API there or not.
If you use Firefox debugger, you will see queryimg Google MAPS API. The theme has a bug in it and drops the dynamic CSS rules.
You are also seeing this:
console.error(“This site adds property <“+a+”> to Object.prototype. Extending Object.prototype breaks JavaScript for..in loops, which are used heavily in Google Maps API v3.”)
If you need additional support See https://wp.storelocatorplus.com/product/product-support/
CiciKeymasterI have been talking to Angela about the subscription. Do you not have access to the premier subscription because you are not the owner but the developer? You should be using current versions of POWER and EXPERIENCE Add-ons. They are both 4.7.1
The LEGACY versions are not being updated and the individual add-ons will not be updated. Your screen shot shows all old versions that are part of Power (ProPAck, Directory Builder, Pages ) and Experience (Enhanced Results, Enhanced Search, anything Enhanced and Widgets) Please discuss with your client.
CiciKeymasterYou do not do everything with just shortcodes alone, there are built in settings that need to be turned on. For instance, the Experience Add-on Settings for discrete search must be on. (P.s Experience has an update to 4.7.1 as well, see versions )
A) From the settings under the Experience tabs, set the default radius to something HUGE, next
turn on “discrete search unless address input”and/or
B) use the shortcode options in ADDITION to what you have set initial radius via shortcode attribute
set center map at via shortcode attribute but
DISCRETE still needs to be turned on in your global settingC) some combination of the above to get your desired outcome
See the documentation site about how Store Locator Plus search and results and radius behavior work. If you do NOT turn on discrete settings then it will look for the first X places within your given radius from the center of the map. With Premier there are even more options such as Directory list by states
This is a very robust plugin with the Premier,Power,Experience add-ons. There are a lot of different settings and combinations to get the desired effect. Premier is for advanced users, and should contain everything you need. It is difficult to write the documentation for each case scenario since there are over 20,000 sites using the base Store Locator Plus plugin and over 10,000 more using it with combination of add-ons at any given moment. Most are developing or publishing unique sites.
I am trying to add more and more documentation, some people get confused by too much and others complain not enough. Best is to use keywords, Ive tried to add as many tags to search by as possible. , There is a tag list on teh side menu of the docs site as well.
CiciKeymasterYou need to uninstall the inactive plugins “Enhanced Map and Enhanced Search” they are replaced by Experience…You cannot install Enhanced, etc and Experience Add-ons at the same time. You shouldn’t even have those in your account unless you purchased them before. Just IGNORE them, they do not work with Experience Add-on, Experience add-on replaced them. Its an either or not both to use per domain.
Ditto with the DB, Page etc You will get error messages if you try to use those with Power Add-on. They need to be deleted, not installed. See the Legacy vs replacements
Pages Templates changed with WP 4.5, I do not know what you are using to create the Page templates, but you cannot use the old references and framework and create new ones. Did you try to transfer over from an old site?
You are using the shortcodes incorrectly, unless your theme allows for it, and apparently it does not. You are trying to create a Directory builder within a Page template? I do not understand what you are trying to do. I will have the developer take a look , perhaps he can figure something out for you.
In the mean time did you watch the tutorials and read the documentation?
