Thanks for the super useful reply Cici. Will consider and get back,
August 11, 2021 at 5:27 AM in reply to: Add-ons deactivated following Store Locator Plus upgrade #81999imageiParticipantSorry. My bad. I’ve updated to the latest version of SLP and the add-ons are all now activated.
imageiParticipantThank you Cici
imageiParticipantAh! Thats fixed it. Sorry I hadn’t done that.
That’s great Cici and thank you for your patience and help.
imageiParticipantThis is another reminder that I should have a staging site and read the documentation properly before upgrading.
I restored my backups but the site alerted me that I had a critical error and I had to deactivate all the SLP plugins to get site back online.
I then uploaded the new versions of the plugins and activated SLP, then then experience and power and then premier.
My site is back online and locations are being returned but no Pages – and no facility to create pages under Settings > Bulk Actions.
Hmm… all feels a little bit hairy plus reduced functionality.
imageiParticipantOK Cici
I see. Its not possible for a Location to have their own website and an SEO page.
That’s the way it is.Thank you for your help.
imageiParticipantThe results interaction set of features provides a variety of visual cues on the location map to indicate the location a user has clicked when viewing a list of locations., providing a variety of additional options beyond the standard Info Bubble that Store Locator Plus displays when a location is clicked.
If I click a bubble on my map the location details pop up which is just fine. No other visual clues that I see – but that’s fine.
Most likely then it is your location marker which is set under the Settings.MAP
Can’t find my location maker setting anywhere on Settings > Map Cici
Are there any docs on where to set the location marker? Thanks
imageiParticipantHi Cici
it appears that you have identified that marker as being the visitors location but it is not actually their location but is actually the location of the search returned address.
Yes I understand that it might not be where they ‘really’ are at the time of the search. But thought ‘Your Location’ was the ‘clearest’ way to explain that it was there ‘search location’. If only I could change the pink bubble marker to a different shaped marker the issue might be resolved. 🙂
I’ve attached a screenshot of my settings. Active Marker Icon happens to be set to a black bubble. I have no idea where/when the black bubble displays. Pretty confusing.
are you using the filter by tag feature by any chance?
I’m not using a tag filter.
BTW I’ve discovered I’m using ‘Two Left’ Locator style.

Its not really the styling that I am concerned with here – hence not so concerned with the CSS and the styles.
I was looking for some documentation on the [ifset] attribute of the shortcode.
imageiParticipantThank you again for your feedback Cici.
I tried a number of variations on
<a target=_self href=[storepage field=data.page_url type=raw]>More Details</a>
including
data.pages_url
(plural data.page)but no luck.
Might need to add this to the wish list. 🙂
imageiParticipantThank you Cici. This is excellent. 🙂
I downloaded the csv location export and copied the category into to the sl_tags column then added the shortcode [slp_location pro_tags] to my SLP > Settings > Results Layout.

imageiParticipantThanks for looking into this Cici
Not showing up for me. But heh maybe that’s because I have customised my results.
Is there a [shortcode] for tags that I could add?
imageiParticipantJust to clarify what I am getting at – here is my page based on the Custom Templates example at the very bottom of the article above.
https://apa.uk.com/find-a-member/directory/practitioner-membersThe More Details link for each location opens in a new tab.
That is perfect behaviour for the external websites belonging to the location listed.
But not good for SEO pages which are of course just internal pages on this website.Hope you understand what I mean.
imageiParticipantOK – lets do it with tags. I can add a tag for each location.
How do I display the tag in the results?something like `[slp_location data.sl_tag]’ ??
imageiParticipantThanks Cici
Sorry I am aware that I a heavy user on the forum at the moment.
I enabled SEO Pages on my site and it seemed to be working correctly but I do not have some of the other unique settings you have been inquiring about.
I wonder if – now you have SEO pages enabled you could copy / paste the Custom Templates example at the very bottom of this article onto a test page?
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/creating-a-list-of-location-pages/Does the More Info link to SEO page open in a new browser tab or the same window (_self)?
<h4 class="info-link">[storepage field='pages_url' title='More Info' type='hyperlink']</h4>
imageiParticipantI’m using ‘A Gallery Style’ and looks like the layout code is not customised.
`
[slp_option name=”search_box_title” ifset=”div”]
[slp_search]
</div>[slp_option name=”results_box_title” ifset=”div”]
[slp_results]
</div>
</div>[slp_map]
</div>
</div>`I’ve attached a screenshot of the SLP > Settings > Results > Results Layout HTML that I want improve.
Thanks

This is my search page.
https://apa.uk.com/find-a-member/searchSearch on a postcode like SW1.
I’ve attached a screen shot showing the pink bubble that I’d like to change (as it is too similar to my category locations).

We’re now live. 🙂
So I have suspended the https://2018.unitedayurveda.com site in order to find any broken internal links that are using that url.
The site is now on https://apa.uk.com/
I do have Hide Home Marker checked but the pink bubble still appears. And no bubble selection box where I might change it on my Settings > Map page that is described in this doc.
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/map-panel-settings/
I wonder if this docs page needs an update?imageiParticipantThanks Cici
I have installed and activated the Experience plugin.
there is a checkbox under Settings/Results Appearance section that is “show category icons” . if you check that off the category icon will appear within your results .
Ah. I have found this and checked it ON. But still no marker bubbles in the ‘text results’ – (still have marker bubbles on the map of course).
But then I have a customised my results so I guess I need to shortcode for the category?
[slp_location data.sl_category]
???You are not using the category selector on that site?
Ah – I see – that could be a solution.
Thanks
imageiParticipantThanks Cici
It would be kind of cool to get this feature working on my site. 🙂
imageiParticipantUmm – not really Cici.
I’m trusting visitors will read the legend above the search / map and interpret the bubbles on the map OK.I’d like a location’s category to be displayed in the text results that are listed to the left of the map.
https://2018.unitedayurveda.com/find-a-member/search
So as they scan down the list they can see if the location is relevant without referring to the map first.
imageiParticipantAh I have found a checkbox for ‘Prevent New Window’ under SLP > Pages > Behaviour (see attached) and have checked it – but it doesn’t seem to have made a difference.
Odd?

I have a number of locations – each fall into one of 3 categories.
https://2018.unitedayurveda.com/find-a-member/searchI’d like the category a location has been assigned to be displayed along with the name, telephone, website etc in the results.
That way the searcher will easily know what type of location they are looking at.
I wonder if it is possible?
Thanks

imageiParticipantThank you for getting back so promptly Cici
I was adding a new location but I think I misunderstood.
On my location csv import I set a url path under the ‘marker’ column.
Then I set the category marker. When I added a new location I was trying to select the appropriate marker.
But it appears that the marker takes its colour from the category checkbox – which is perfect.
Sorry to waste your time.Thanks
