WolframParticipant
GOT IT!! It was our caching plugin. WP Fastest Cache. Deleted Cache and now everything works fine again 🙂
WolframParticipant….I think it only works at the moment when I’m logged in with my Google account?! Then it’s all fine. But doesn’t work when not logged in to Google?!!
WolframParticipantHi, ok, so we managed to upgrade all 3 plugins (Base, Experience and Power) to the latest versions – no Google popup any longer, but weird thing, in Firefox it seems to work fine, but in all other browsers when I try the search it shows an empty map frame and no results…. any idea?
WolframParticipantohhh right. the deadline and the billing account, that could be it? We haven’t added billing details to our Google account yet.
Or we might have to find a way to upgrde… will try the billing details first. Thanks.
WolframParticipantUpdate on this: We tried installing the newest versions on a subdomain – we have ONLY the base plugin, Power and Experience running there, NOTHING else: But search showing no results.
Please help. We are willing to upgrade but newest versions should work….

My plugin directory says it’s still in production and before that I can’t update base plugin to 4.7.11 since old Power won’t work with it 🙂

Yes, we do have a testing / development site where we can test it – where can we get a 4.7.10 Power pre-version? But if you say it is going to be released anyways in 1-2 days we also can wait (y) ……very curious how it turns out!!

April 28, 2017 at 10:11 AM in reply to: BUG?! Assigned categories vanish when locations are updated! #45891WolframParticipantHi Cici,
this problem just got worse after the latest upgrade of base, Power and Experience to 4.7.9. …..before, categories disappeared after editing and saving a location, but we could reassign them in the list.
Now, I can’t even reassign them via the list….. weird thing is, if I go into a location to edit it and have a look under the “Categories” list there (which is new in edit view?), I do see the categories assigned to thios location but they are not searchable in front end…….?
Any idea???
I can give you admin access to the site if needed…..
Appreciate any help on this….. need this fixed asap….
March 29, 2017 at 3:34 AM in reply to: BUG?! Assigned categories vanish when locations are updated! #45614WolframParticipantoh by the way…. would there be any “paybacks” if we decided to go from our EXP and POWER to PREMIER….? The only feature we would need from Premier would be the pagination (or is there ANY other hack to wrap results to pages 1, 2, etc….?) but we already bought EXP and POWER for 500 bucks so to have another 425 bucks for a setup fee is a little too much for us atm…..
March 29, 2017 at 3:31 AM in reply to: BUG?! Assigned categories vanish when locations are updated! #45613WolframParticipantStill happening 🙁 – I’m on 4.7.8 for both SLP and Power, Experience is at 4.7.6 – is there also an upgrade? If so, my wordpress isn’t showing one to me so far, any place else where to get it directly?
WolframParticipantwhat are the other features for Premier?
WolframParticipantHi – any plans to have pagination available for Experience and/or Power addon users? 🙂
WolframParticipantI only want to change the permalink for Store Page – nothing else. I’m ver y familiar with how permalinks work in WordPress, but as mentioned above… my aim is to cahnge the STORE PAGE url structure (which is set under Store Locator Plus -> Pages -> Permalink starts with) – if you leave this field empty, then a default “store_page” is inserted in between the domain name and location name, i.e.
http://www.myurl.xy/store_page/location_name —- here, location_name is taken from sl_store – so far so good.
I want:
http://www.myurl.xy/name-of-the-STORE-PAGE-category/location_name
so this has nothing to do with normal WordPress categories but the categories set under the Power plugin features.
So, the default
http://www.myurl.xy/store_page/location_name
is set in
wp-content/plugins/slp-power/include/pages/class.admin.pages.php
line 338 or line 480 (or both) – this is HARDCODED.So, I’d really appreciate help here what to change here to it takes the category slugs of the STORE PAGE categories…………
P.S.: This doesn’t seem a request too far off, so I’m a little concerned to have to use paid support for this (since the Power and Experience plugins are quite a few bucks of money….) – I can wait a few days, but I’ve seen much more advanced topics being answered here in the forum……. and this might surely be of interest to everyone who uses store pages and store page categories.
WolframParticipantYes, so maybe I can somehow hardcode it? But I need help here – I think it must be somewhere done in
…wp-content/plugins/slp-power/include/pages/class.admin.pages.php
line 338 or line 480 (sorry the editor here won’t let me paste code, your Sucuri firewall pops up….)
since here the default “store_page” is set if you don’t enter anything in backend settings for “permalinks start with” field (i.e. if you leave it empty).
Any help here how/where to replace this so it gets the category (slug) by default?
Thanks!
WolframParticipanttest
WolframParticipantHi Cici,
hmm this link is for the store page display/layout only, I’d like to know how to edit admin under
“Store Locator Plus” -> Pages -> “Permalinks start with”
field to output the name of the category a store page is sorted to….. so the final storepage url would be:
http://www.myurl.xy/name-of-category-of-location/location_name
February 28, 2017 at 3:12 PM in reply to: BUG?! Assigned categories vanish when locations are updated! #45288WolframParticipantAs far as I can tell, this seemed to have occured after the last upgrade (not the one you suggested to 4.7.6 but the one before that which we did on the base plugin)
February 28, 2017 at 3:09 PM in reply to: BUG?! Assigned categories vanish when locations are updated! #45286WolframParticipantHi,
cleared cache, tried in empty/ other browser, still all the same.
Deactivated all plugins except Store Locator Plus, Power and Experience.
Still same thing happening 🙁
No special other setup or unique changes here, especially after deactivating all other plugins.
No change of WP taxonomy.
Oh and we do have addresses for each location….
Would be great if Lance could check, can you notify him? Or how would this work? I can wait a few days since we have other things to work on too on that page, so we might go with normal support on this issue – will you give me a feedback here if he finds the time?
Thanks!

Assigned categories vanish when locations are updated! #45266WolframParticipantHi Cici, I recorded a screen cap to clarify (see attached mp4, I hope it works)
Is this the way it is supposed to?! This would be not really good since you have to re-assign categories each time you change i.e. a store name/phone number or whatever…..
No, I’m not editing via User Managed Locations, I have it installed though but this should not interfere with the Power plugin?
Thanks!
Yes, site above is behind password, as mentioned above:
User: test
Password: 12345WolframParticipantHi!
Has this ever been solved?
As I understand Lucinda she wants to change pages permalink to contain the category a page is in, which is set under “Store Locator Plus” -> Pages -> Permalinks start with
I’d also like to know if it is possible to set this to the category a page is sorted to, i.e.
http://www.myurl.xy/name-of-category-of-location/store-name
as a default it is set to
http://www.myurl.xy/(blog)/store-page/storename
Can any shortcode be used in field “Permalinks start with” …..? Or do I have to edit core files?
February 28, 2017 at 2:40 AM in reply to: BUG?! Assigned categories vanish when locations are updated! #45257WolframParticipantoh and no, what is Tagalong….? Never used it (before) ….
As far as for the categories, we both import them and assign them via the process I described above in the locations list. But both get deleted as soon as you change something within a location.
As for the translation… yes, it’s German, and it got translated automatically on install (at least some parts of it translated, not all) – I don’t mind using the English version but it would be great to be able to edit some German phrases since some of them are not quite well translated 😉
February 28, 2017 at 2:36 AM in reply to: BUG?! Assigned categories vanish when locations are updated! #45256WolframParticipantHi Cici,
this is what I’m doing:
- Go to “Store Locator Plus” -> “Locations”
- Check the location I want to assign a category to
- Under “Bulk Actions” choose “Categorize”
- Check the category/categories I want
- Click “Apply” at the top
- —> Category is assigned correctly
- then I edit something within(!) this location, i.e. street name or phone or whatever and click the blue “Update” button to save
- I am redirected to location list BUT my previously assigned category is gone!
Maybe you can re-test this with your setting and give me a feedback if this all works fine, then we can discuss further 🙂
Thanks for the help!
WolframParticipantdoh :\ I just realized that somehow, after upgrade to 4.7.6 this wrapping the div does no longer work – I can see the link in the source code but nothing except popup of bubble in map happens…. any other idea where to change what to make the whole div of a result location link to its store page…..?
