To keep trolls off the site, or at least make it more difficult than using a spam bot to sign up, you must purchase a product first. However many people want to ask Forum questions while using the free copy of Store Locator Plus from the WordPress Plugin Directory.

This “product” is nothing more than a way to get an account created on the site and then have access to the forums. That’s it. Nothing more.
