I have been asked if it would be possible to create a call to action button/link on our homepage to a specific category on our location page so that it calls up only those locations? Or what is your best suggestion?

https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/category-button-bar/May 17, 2018 at 5:52 PM #56599CiciKeymasterOr Are you asking for a widget on your home page to be similar to how the Category button bar works now? Not sure which you are looking to do. The Category button bar will filter
I am not sure what you have available to you because all of the add-ons and your site is not on current versions.
May 25, 2018 at 12:00 PM #56678pswannParticipantI am working with a marketing team.
We have been unable to update this site because when we have tried we receive multiple PHP errors. We had to backdate it to get the site back up. I’m not sure if it is the theme we are using, but I am having issues with that theme in different scenarios. I did not choose it, and am in the process of rebuilding all of our sites and this one is a top priority.
However, they were wanting the buttons they created on both the home page and the landing page lead only to the stores that had hot dogs and not all 120 stores. The Category button would help or being able to create a filter down to that category which I could link with that specific button.
Thanks,
MarcyaJune 1, 2018 at 3:47 PM #56723CiciKeymasterif we have enough customers on the MySLP enterprise plan. Lance will consider customizing some features in there .
there will be no further customization of the WPSLP do it yourself plugin or add-ons other then the one currently in the pipeline for a WPSLP customer. That customization has something to do with a feature within the category/ button or tool bar and would be in the next release of Premier, but then again you are not able to update you said…soooo….🙁
June 1, 2018 at 4:56 PM #56724CiciKeymasterCheck out the demo which is running current versions of SLP..also many of our customers are using the Only with category shortcodes or the Category button bar to obtain the results you are looking to achieve,
(if they switch to MySLP you will no longer have the PHP issue,) anyhow what you are describing already exists but it is in later updates of premier unless you use the shortcodes (see documentation to use the one you need
