Hi,
I have a long standing site that just sits and works. However, I was reviewing it recently and found that it wasn’t picking up addresses from the url. I have the section set to allow this in General, User Interface and haven’t changed any settings.
Looking through your docs, there is a reference to adding in a + between say city and state, however, nothing I have tried works, whether it’s a + or a single word parameter, it just always loads the location into the SLP search area, but doesn’t seem to act on that until you click the search button.
eg https://www.electrical-wholesaler.com.au/sydney?address=sydney
Any ideas on how to get this fixed? As you can see, out menu relies a lot on this feature.
Cheers
Simon

The allow addy in Url features you are referring to requires you to have Premier subscription. You bought two stand alone add-ons back in 2017, not Premier subscription so you never had that feature..
See the video and info here in doc shttps://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/tag/url-control-description/
May 18, 2019 at 9:40 PM #59249Simon GriffithsParticipantActually I did. I built the site around it and it has been working for a long time. This site is actually many years old and actually predates SLP by some margin and I was using this feature a long time ago when it first got added.
Saying that, when was this feature taken out?
May 20, 2019 at 11:40 AM #59252CiciKeymasterPremier URL controls were expanded and added over the past few years as far as I know. if you had legacy add-ons that from 4 or 5 years ago I do not have that information available. There have been many updates over the past 5 years . You can check the Changelogs under the products on the home page that may help you. or the news feeds , this news feed from 2017 describes the capability If you were able to get around it with just Power and Experience add-on, perhaps I am not understanding the functionality you are referring to.

May 27, 2019 at 8:18 PM #59283Simon GriffithsParticipantHi Again,
I am just trying to work out how to sort this site out after the change that has obviously taken place at some point.
However, I should note that
https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/slplus-shortcode-options/#allow_addy_in_url
seems to show that this is still a feature of the experience addon which we have. At the moment this does seem to load the address into the SLP search box, but doesn’t do the search. This means that you get the confusing address in the search box with results underneath that which aren’t based on the search box. Obviously not great user experience!
There are obviously way around this, but I am loathed to start developing some in page php if the feature I am using has been removed too. For example, if I use the <span class=”crayon-v”>center_map_at shortcode option and use a do_shortcode in php so I can extract the url parameters will this then work or has the center_map_at also been removed from the current version?
</span>Cheers
Simon
May 28, 2019 at 9:56 AM #59284CiciKeymasterPlease read the posting guidelines and provide your plugin environment, I do not know what versions you have and cannot help you, the center map at shortcode was fixed quite a while ago, it works on my site and I do recall I had reported it and it was subsequently fixed. So I do not know what version you are using
