A number of requests have been coming in asking a similar question:
How do I get Store Locator Plus to look like THIS….
This is typically either a screen shot from a Store Locator Plus advanced theme or from a customer site.
Some of the customer sites will require fairly extensive CSS and page layout tweaks. Making those awesome looking sites doesn’t come easy and usually isn’t rolled up in an exactly-perfect-just-right WordPress + Store Locator Plus theme. Luckily the Store Locator Plus add-on packs make it very easy to tweak the plugin layout controls which gives your web graphics design team all the tools they need to get it “just right”. No code editing or inline hacks required.
Here is the summary of what you will need to get the job done:
If you want full layout control of the advanced themes you will need to get at least the Pro Pack.
I recommend 4 add-on packs for full layout control:
– Pro Pack
: general layout of the locator components
You can get all 4 plus Taglong
for adding location categories with icons and a map legend via The Experience package
which gives you all of the User Experience options.
After spending another day on the search form customization that is coming as part of the Enhanced Search 1.0 release, I added the ability to place the various drop-down selectors for City, State, and Country to the feature set. They also get new labels that can be set via the admin panel. These settings retain the show/hide checkbox for each of the drop down items as well. While there is still some minor formatting issues to resolve, the new search form customization should make it far easier for web designers to get a lot closer to the exact look-and-feel they are aiming for with their map and locator interface.

Enhanced Map 1.0 has a new bubble layout feature that will be coming later this summer in conjunction with the Store Locator Plus 4 release. This new setting provides site designers and admins an easy way to control what content appears in the info bubble on the map. In the past this was only possible by heavily modifying the csl.js file within the base plugin. With version 1.0 you will be able to change the info bubble using a basic admin panel text entry that combines HTML with special bubble layout shortcodes.
