I cannot figure out how to remove the label below the search bar. I have the placeholder stating” Enter location for nearest location” but there is also a label showing up below it as a duplicate.

where is this setting to remove?
April 12, 2016 at 11:34 AM #40380CiciKeymasterHi James,
Search Layout Shortcodes and attrributes
Which SLP plugin style are you using? Look at the help text next to the Experience Search/Search Box Label
The label that goes in the search form box header, for plugin themes that support it. Put this in a search form using the [slp_option nojs=”search_box_title”] shortcode.
Selecting and customizing Plugin styles
If I had your locator page url I would be able to inspect it with the Chrome or Firefox developer tools to see where its coming from.
If you need help with using either the CSS or inspect elements debugging tools there are some tutorial videos on the SLP you tube channel
(Links to various Playlists booth new and old under Documentation)
April 12, 2016 at 11:42 AM #40382CiciKeymasterP.S. you can see all your settings using Janitor as well, just be careful when using Janitor. you can reset or blank out array settings but first check out the search layout shortcodes and CSS to see if you can change there first.
April 12, 2016 at 12:23 PM #40384CiciKeymasterI misspoke
It is the label under RESULTS
(Instructions for no results found,) it is under Experience/Results/labels/instructions
blank it out
sorrryyy…I am tired and brain dead.
April 12, 2016 at 12:31 PM #40386CiciKeymasterNIX all the other info I provided you before about CSS
Lance said that was initiated for a customer who wanted two sets of instructions, one on search and one when No results found comes back…
I will write more info in Docs site, I don’t know when that changed, lance will move it to somewhere more obvious in future release…
This is where the documentation about that Lable is , with screen shots…That option only APPEARS if you have Experience add-on, and it is set as the default.
April 18, 2016 at 2:34 PM #40510JamesParticipantI’ve found that label but there appears to be a glitch or a default that keeps populating. I checked the CSS but it appears that is a placeholder attribute on the form element which doesn’t have a class. I’m going to investigate if I can display:none a placeholder on a form but we should look into the bug that that I made video of below.
Here you can see the plugin is resetting default text after I remove it. http://www.screencast.com/t/zjroBB7wDW
April 18, 2016 at 2:38 PM #40512CiciKeymasterOk,
Thanks I will identify to Lance to look at it when he is done with this customization project he has been working on
April 18, 2016 at 4:08 PM #40514CiciKeymasterOk, I tested it and the way you get it to not appear is by putting in a single space in the Expereinece/Results/Instructions box…just a single space, no verbiage and save. It is working for me with the pre release 4.5 can you check it with 4.4.10 EXP?
