How do I change “Store” in the categories URL?
http://www.mysite.com/stores/montana/
I want to change /stores/ to /locations/
I’m running:
<div id=”wpcsl-option-plugin_environment” class=”group subtab_plugin_environment subtab” style=”display: block;”>
<div class=”inside section meta-box-sortables”>
<div class=”section_description”>
<div class=”left_side”>
<div class=”content_pad”>
<p class=”envinfo”><span class=”label”>Store Locator Plus:</span>4.6.1</p>
<p class=”envinfo”><span class=”label”>Power:</span>4.6.1
<span class=”label”>+</span>Pages , Contacts</p><span class=”label”>This Info Cached:</span>1474285188
<p class=”envinfo”><span class=”label”>Network Active:</span>No</p><span class=”label”>WordPress Version:</span>4.6.1
<p class=”envinfo”><span class=”label”>PHP Version:</span>5.6.25</p>
<p class=”envinfo”><span class=”label”>MySQL Version:</span>5.6.30</p><span class=”label”>PHP Limit:</span>512M
<p class=”envinfo”><span class=”label”>WordPress General Limit:</span>40M</p>
<p class=”envinfo”><span class=”label”>WordPress Admin Limit:</span>512M</p>
<p class=”envinfo”><span class=”label”>PHP Peak RAM:</span>39 MB</p>
<p class=”envinfo”><span class=”label”>PHP Post Max Size:</span>128M</p></div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>September 21, 2016 at 5:26 PM #43296CiciKeymasterI’m not sure I understand what you want to accomplish.
Do you want to change the back end or the front end?
September 21, 2016 at 6:36 PM #43300LucindaParticipantTo answer your question – the front end – visitors will see /locations/ in the URL – and not /stores/. I want to change /stores/ in the URL to /locations/. Would seem something placing some code into the functions.php file might work to change the URL folder from /store/ to /locations/. Any ideas?
September 22, 2016 at 1:18 PM #43307CiciKeymasterYou can change your hyperlinks in Pages,
You can change attributes and Permalink if you use Post type (see documentation)
September 22, 2016 at 1:44 PM #43312LucindaParticipantNo it’s not on the Pages tab under Permalink. My setting in that field is member-page. Which has nothing to do with the pages I’m asking about.
The pages I’m wanting to change the taxonomy for are the Category pages. I used State names as categories when I enetered in my listings. Now I have a category called Arizona – however, the URL looks like this http://www.mysite.com/stores/arizona/ – I want to edit the /stores/ to be /locations/ instead.
Please help!
Thanks!!
September 24, 2016 at 3:36 PM #43326CiciKeymasterAre you using categories with Pages?
SEO store Pages based on the WP taxonomy .
FAQ can store have more than one category
You can define custom taxonomies in a themes’s functions.php template file

February 28, 2017 at 9:53 AM #45259WolframParticipantHi!
Has this ever been solved?
As I understand Lucinda she wants to change pages permalink to contain the category a page is in, which is set under “Store Locator Plus” -> Pages -> Permalinks start with
I’d also like to know if it is possible to set this to the category a page is sorted to, i.e.
http://www.myurl.xy/name-of-category-of-location/store-name
as a default it is set to
http://www.myurl.xy/(blog)/store-page/storename
Can any shortcode be used in field “Permalinks start with” …..? Or do I have to edit core files?
