Store Locator Plus used WordPress Roles & Capabilities to determine which users can access the Store Locator Plus menus when logged into their WordPress account. By default only site administrators can see the Store Locator Plus menu and the submenu entries for the Info, Locations, Experience, and General tabs.
Site administrators can employ third-party WordPress Roles & Capabilities plugins to further control access to the Store Locator Plus menu items. The following capabilities are implemented by Store Locator Plus:
Allows a user to see the Store Locator Plus menu when logged in.
Controls access to the General Settings tab.
Controls access to the Info and Experience tabs.
Controls access to the locations tab.
Note: Version SLP 4.4.17 has updated the store taxonomy to allow ‘manage_slp_user’ to have assign_terms permissions.
By default all site administrators , users with the WordPress administrator role assigned, are granted manage_slp, manage_slp_admin, and manage_slp_user roles.
User Managed Locations
The User Managed Locations add on provides the ability to assign specific locations to specific WordPress users. This allows those users to see the Store Locator Plus locations tab but only provides access to the locations that have been assigned to them. Site administrators still see all locations in the Store Locator Plus locations database. Visitors to your site will not be impacted, meaning the map, Store Pages, locations, etc. work as normal.
