    Hi,

    I’m using the latest version of Store Locator Plus. I have a bug in Firefox, when the option «Use location sensor» is actived. When I load the map, first we get geolocalised and locations around are loaded. After that, the plugin reload the map to Default / Center location and remove all pins.

    This bug append only on Firefox. I tested it on Safari and Google Chrome, everything seems fine.

    The bug is also present on your demo site

    Here a video of the bug : https://cl.ly/3u1u3k2L2k1O

    Thanks for giving me a feedback

    Regards,

    Francis

    First, what versions and what add-ons are you using?See posting guidelines, aso your url Second is your site https?

    Please read the additional information about the location sensor and browsers.

    and under FAQ

    https://docs.storelocatorplus.com/blog/q-even-when-i-have-the-location-sensor-turned-on-the-results-seem-to-go-to-the-center-of-the-country-why-is-that/

    We cannot recreate your problem, we are using https and the Firefox, chrome and safari browsers work with location sensor.

    I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN YOU TRIED THE DEMO BUT THE DEMO IS NOT WORKING AND WE POSTED THIS INFO;

    Please continue to be patient as we work with the new server and the folks at WP Ninjas to get our live demo site back online.

    If you’ve come to our Store Locator Plus demo site any time in the past month you know we’ve been having some issues keeping it running. The demo site stopped creating “try it out in real time” demo sites back in early August 2016. We filed a support ticket with our demo software provider, WP Ninjas, later that week. After a few emails back-and-forth they logged into our site and saw “nothing wrong”. A patch was released. That didn’t help. We moved the demo site to a new server. No help.

    Fast forward to the last week of September, 2016. We decided to “wipe the slate clean”. Today we are rebuilding a brand new site with a clean database on our new PHP7 + nginx server. It should be faster, cleaner, and up-to-date with the latest version of WordPress, Store Locator Plus, and Ninja Demo.

    Once we get it booted, get the dials all turned the right way, and run it through a couple of tests we’ll turn it back on. Should be in a few days. We’ll likely even have a few code updates to share with the WP Ninja folks before we’re done.

    In the meantime you can check out our YouTube Channel, our Documentation site, and our SLP Store.

    Here’s more information about my environment

    Versions

    • Store Locator Plus => 4.6.5
    • Store Locator Plus :: Pro Pack => 4.6.4
    • WordPress => 4.6.1
    • Firefox on Mac =>50
    • Valid https website

    Environment screenshot : https://cl.ly/0B072O2I3J0a

    Locations page URL : goo.gl/Ngc9nL

    Step to reproduce

    • Open Firefox
    • Visit the locations URL  goo.gl/Ngc9nL (First time the map is always okay)
    • Visit an other page
    • Revisit «Where to buy»
    • The map should load with the right location (Geolocalised)… wait…  the map reload for a second time to the default value (Google Maps center value) and all pins are lost
    • If the bug didn’t append reload the page again…

    It’s weird, it’s random…

    Finally, you can ignore this request!

    YAY!

    I made a fix to prevent maps reloading by disabling the plugin Geolocation and making geolocation calls from a custom javascript file.

    Ok,,,, either that or stop moving around so much.

    If you  want to be a  tester on the SAAS MY.SLP project see below. I am not sure if they are still looking for testers since they have moved from beta to alpha but check it out.

    Not on WordPress?
    Check out My Store Locator Plus – now in alpha testing.
